Can we please please please have a deal similar to this previous one with the 3700X?:

    • I may as well ask the enthusiasts in here: does ram speed affect performance in:
      1. video editing/encoding;
      2. revit and similar programs; or
      3. streaming?

Just trying to figure out if fast ram is worth the extra dollarydoos in a media pc (basically waiting for Luke to do a 3700x deal and maybe upgrade the ram speed).

Also, would 3700x be the best value cpu for a non-pro media rig?

      • +1
        1. Yes
        2. Yes
        3. Maybe?

        And Yes.

    • 1k is my price too

    • +6

3700X with multi GPU options coming Thursday or Friday. Might be a little bonus in there too.

      • Now I don't know whether to get Thursday or hold out for Friday itself! Lol.

      • This is it, the deal I've been waiting for

  • -3

any chance of lowering the threadripper 1950x system price?

    • I don't think so mate.

  • Anyone knows how this compares to a 3700x?

  • Hoping to see a 3950X build when they're available!

    • We've been advised they won't be available in the first allocation of CPUs but will be available in the new year some time most likely.

  • Hey was wondering if I can get a larger HDD instead of the 2TB but a 6TB how much of a Increase is that?

    • +1

By my calculations, and this has been confirmed by my three year old, that is a 4TB increase.

    • Couldn't help myself. We don't offer a 6TB option at the moment, but you could purchase one elsewhere and install it. If you'd like to do that, you can request us to send you the 3.5" screws you'd need to install them and we'll include them in the accessories box for you. There will also be a spare SATA cable to plug it into the motherboard.

  • Any chance of the i9 getting a deal?

    • +1

It wasn't a big seller so we wouldn't revisit it with a different deal, but the coupon code on this deal here is still active, so you can jump on this: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/494560 if you like!

Note the case has changed to the J25 but everything else is the same.

  • Heya Luke,
I love the size of the Versa H18, and also can't stand the RGB on J25.
I just missed out on the previous i7-9700k deal with the 2080 SUPER in the H18. Any chance of another config like that coming out for Black Friday?

Am definitely going to pull the trigger if I see something like that around $2k.

    • Hi mate, we removed the previous 9700K due to Z370 being effectively end of life from our suppliers, and the Z390 ATX only fits in the J25, so I can't see a way around this sorry! Functionally, the J25 does have the built in ability to turn off the RGB lighting altogether though?

      • Thanks Luke for the quick response. If that's the case, no luck with Intel then.
I'm looking for a smaller box as well, so the J25 is just a bit too big.

If you've got a 3700X with Versa H18 and 2080 SUPER deal coming, I am DOWN!

        • Standby.

  • Do we need to purchase the Windows activation?

    • +1

From us, no. To activate all of Windows features, yes.

  • Hi Luke,

I'm looking to get this with the 2080Ti upgrade.

Just a couple of questions regarding which brand of products you'd most likely use for the following components:

    (i) RTX 2080Ti
    (ii) 240 mm radiator
    (iii) RAM: 16GB DDR4 3200MHz

Further question regarding shipping - I understand it would probably take 20+ days for shipping but just wondering is it possible at all or if you can guarantee delivery by 16th Dec? I'm based in Sydney CBD but will be leaving Australia on 16th for Xmas. Thanks heaps Luke and I hope to get a response from you ASAP as I would like to take advantage of this deal! I'm just thinking what the implications are if PC is DOA and I don't get to find that out until I get back from holidays (mid Jan 2020)

    Cheers and all the best,

    Winston C

    • +1

Hey Winston. 2080 Ti will almost certainly be MSI Ventus GP, 240mm has been Deepcool Gammaxx, and RAM either GSkill or Team, various models.

I can't guarantee delivery by 16th being realistic because of the transit time. I would think delivery the following week is realistic. Happy to arrange a different delivery address or hold the order until you get back if you want to jump in at this price. Best arranged via [email protected]

      • Hi Luke,

Thank you so much for your speedy response and I will send an email now. Really appreciate this.

      • Hi Luke, sorry to bother again and I don't mean to intrude your Sunday but just wanted to check if you've received my email sent earlier today. If so I would be grateful if you can have a response sometime tomorrow so I can go ahead and place an order. Thank you again and I look forward to hearing from you.

  • Hi Luke,

Would you be able to shed some light on the dispatch status of the previous i7-9700k deals with the H18 cases?

    Thank you sir
