    yawn

    • Ebay plus signup bait is what it is

    • +1

      Yup…

This is not a deal, it’s clickbait.

It should be in the competitions page not deals page.

    Plans for Saturday sorted.

    • Just read this on News.com.au

Kicking off from 10am on Saturday, November 30 and rolling into Cyber Monday, eBay is offering discounts of up to 70 per cent on top products exclusively for eBay Plus members. Top picks include more Apple AirPods for $99, PlayStation 4 PS4 Slim for $199 and Beats Powerbeats Pro headphones for $199, and eBay will continue to have 20 per cent off millions of items across the site.

        • Yes I believe so

  • +1

    Dam, more ring doorbell please!

  • Wasn't this today?

    • +1

It was, but there's another tomorrow

      • +3

        Yeah, probably another one pair

  • +8

Please tell me those accounts that won the lotto today are ineligible

  • +16

Competition is greater then the ATAR system

*than (sorry I just had to do it)

I honestly think they just release 5-8 airpods per drop.

Lets say they will run this until Monday with 3 drops per day.

    100 airpods / 4 days / 3 drops = 8.3333333

    • I'm slightly confused with this comment
Sorry what did you mean by 5-8 airpods per drop?

      • They initially announced that they will sell 100 airpods for 99aud but they did NOT indicate that they will allocate 100 airpods per drop (10am, 1pm, 4pm). So I assume that they will sell 100 airpods for the whole Black Friday - Cyber Monday Event.

And in the initial post in ozbargain, some users noticed that "5 airpods sold" for the seller.

I had the airpods saved in my cart today (from the 10am announcement) at 2pm and 6pm and low and behold, I did not get anything.

        Edit:

surengiri below noticed that there are only 24 airpods sold

        • I highly doubt this is the case.

I don't think a website like ebay would do that.
Why would they only have 100 airpods for the whole event and make 600 people pay and order them? That's just messing themselves up having to refund and cancel 500 orders.

Allphones accidentally dropped all 300 in the first hour and they said they had to reduce it to 50 next drop so there's still stock for people to grab a deal.

The whole 'XX amount sold in last 24 hours' I think it's just due to a discrepancy in the system with so many orders. This is speculation, but again I doubt such a big company would trick us like that. And if they did, well done. We we're fooled.

    • I was on ebay at exact 10.00am and added airpods, went to checkout and boom…out of stock

    • Too much time of too many people wasted on previous ebay deals like this one - enough to challenge the credibility of ebay.

      Fully agree.

    • I second that. I was on the airpod page at 10:02am and the only msg was 8 sold last hour. And no option to purchase and after sometime it disappeared and came with out of stock message.

    BS deal

I literally clicked on "buy it now" within 1 second of it going live and it was sold out!

    • +1

      Sadly not fast enough :(

    • Mate. Same. Disappointing.

    • You need another 10 secs to add code PSM26 otherwise it is $249.

  • +3

    Not going to bother.

  • +5

Never any chance getting it, the bots sweep them up within milliseconds

    • +1

may be ozbargainers should rather start programming some bots for occasion like this.
another bot forum, would be cool.

  • +3

tried today and got nothing. SCAM!

  • +2

If it's only 100 at a time again it's pretty much impossible to get. Did it under 10 seconds and it still wasn't quick enough.

    • It’s like gone in 5 seconds. All 100 of them

  • +3

No thanks, don’t want to waste time, can’t beat robot

    • +5

John Connor didn't die for this

  • +1

Last ditch effort to stay relevant

  • +1

    Waste of time

  • +3

Rather than doing 100 6 times and letting asshats with multiple accounts and tricks buy them so they can be resold, why not just do 600 at once?

    • +1

if they did 600 at once, it would be sold out within 10 seconds no doubt lol

  • +1

    Bots get these too fast.

  • Wasted enough time on this dumb deal today. Clicked buy within 3 seconds and all gone :(

  • Guess, my next project is writing a bot HAHA

  • No stock report, no deal

  • +1

Is it just me or the page showed sold 24 in last 24 hour?

    • it's not only you. I saw 5 items sold at 10 AM, then 6 items at 2 PM, but then quantity below said 100 and 200 :)))
      It's a joke mate.
      Read here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/501430

      • So I've got my tax invoice from Titan Gear for the AirPods.
Still gonna claim that the deal's fake?

  • -2

What are all these negative signs next to username?

Edit: are they perhaps suspicious accounts? Cause this thread is obviously being raided. The deal hasn't even started.

    • -5

      Butt hurt.

      • Oh as in they down voted op? Ah i get it.

        • +2

more like downvoting ebay for doing these kind of deals and not so much OP

  • No thanks.

  • na

  • I was so fast that I managed to put the code in and was able to click the order button, it would not take my money and item is out of order. Total bullshit.

  • Yeah, nah. Complete waste of time.

  • Another ebay plus deal scam - Avoid!

  • Give us some real deals

  • waste of time

  • +1

    Unobtainable deal.

  • LOL..

  • Usually I get something but got none today :( wasted my time today

  • Was gone in 2 sec when I clicked on the buy it now button

  • 100 pairs for sale. 40000 people trying to buy, each with 5+ windows open.

Odds of purchase are… not great.

  • Wont waste time on this again.

  • waste of time

  • No thanks

  • Is this a joke?

  • Yeah don't waste your time.

  • Um, eBay, it's not a good move to rub salt in people's wounds..

  • I probably got a better chance winning Division 6 on the Sat Lotto than this bs lol

  • Bs

  • +9

If you’re having AirPod problems I feel bad for you son, I got $99 and eBay ain’t getting none (because I’m too slow)

  • Meah

  • Seriously why is everyone so salty? It cost me maybe 3 minutes of my time today and I could have scored some ultra cheap airpods. No big loss and cheaper than a lotto ticket

    • +2

I think it’s just how eBay presents it. eBay Australia is really out of touch with the rest of the eBay sites. Maybe Australia is their testing grounds? Just think, we could be responsible for many other countries introducing “eligible” items only, site wide “exclusions” and eBay of the day “games of chance”.
I don’t want that on my conscience.

  • Not the best use of time.

  • Oh god, here we go again.

  • +5

This should be in the Competitions section

  • +2

Waste of time. This is free advertising for eBay!

    • Hence why you should report the deal

  • +1

All they want is to get new plus members by advertising fake deals.

    That’s a shame.

  • Failed with 3 attempts today. Not a deal for humans in my view.
They will easily make up the money for this deal from people who registered to eBay plus trial and forget to deactivate especially due to end of the year celebrations.
Also, I’m sure they will show off the hike on fake eBay plus members to investors at their internal financial updates.
All of this at the cost of the lost time by x people (x>10k) trying to get a deal.
Hope this deal gets more negs than pluses.

  • Who gonna post next week’s lotto? Also another game of chance

  • Ebay need to give up really.

  • Competition

  • You need inside knowledge of the listing to have any chance

  • Added to cart and missed out, wasted my time

  • Not worth the deal to post again.

  • No deal

  • It frustrates more people than it benefits? I really don't understand why they continue to do this

  • Did anyone manage to get one today?

    • Yes I managed to grab one… found a good way to improve chances too. Sadly I don't think I can get another one tomorrow as they say 1 per person, 1 per txn

      • How did you improve chances?

    • Yeah got one at 2pm drop

  • Hated this kind of deal!!!

  • Everybody and their dog will be on this apart from those who have woken up to what is going on here

  • No thanks, sold out in 10 secs…not going to waste my time.

At least with Amazon sale, they have a lot more stock.
