@tightarse: I bought some thing off eBay through the mobile site for the promo last night, but didnt see these ebay terms? Did they change over night..?

      •

Sure, if it let us use coupons on top.

Literally just bought from Amazon 5 minutes ago. I did check CR prior to purchase for a new bonus offer but TA hasn't posted yet :-(

  • +2 votes

Mr Arse, when would I see the $15 bonus appear? (Was a promo email as I hadn’t logged in for a while)
Said I needed to do it by 26th Nov, bought on 25th and see the money tracking for that but nothing about $15. Is it credited at a later date, I assume so, but also assume it would be mentioned somewhere on my account.
    Cheers

    $2? Bro!

    • +2 votes

Yeah! obviously not popular enough so u have to do it again… lol

Spend $5 get $5, I'll jump on it right away!

  • +12 votes

Come on CR, you can do something better :)
    Everybody say 20% amazon :D

  •

Shoot, bought a couple of perfumes from the Amazon CK black friday sale just hours ago.

  • +1 vote

does it work with ebay and coupon code?

    • +5 votes

      Unfortunately no:

$2 bonus is ineligible if an order is cancelled, changed, returned, rejected, or if you purchase an ineligible product (standard store cashback terms and exclusions apply).

      eBay terms on Cashrewards:

Important: Cashback is ineligible if discount coupons or promo codes are applied to any transaction.

        eBay is tighter than u

      •

TA does this stack with the $15 back for $30 spend targeted offer?

        •

No, separate promos with separate activations. Activate each separately if you like and you get 2 bonuses with 2 transactions.

          • +1 vote

            @tightarse: i think i'm a bit confused.

I have activated the $15 back for $30 spend targeted offer from my email but not used it yet.

If I go back to that link it says offer already activated.

Must I immediately start shopping after doing this.

I thought the offer was "permanently" activated so that I could log out and back in for example and just shop normally.

            Is this not the case?

  •

Are people who claimed the $2 from yesterday eligible for this? It says limited to one per account but not sure.

  • +1 vote

    Thank You TA .

  • +2 votes

Mr Arse, if I use my 'spend $30, get $15' offer in this transaction, will I also be eligible for the $2 bonus on top of the $15? Thank you.

  • +4 votes

How does anyone keep track of these bonuses if it's not in the transaction history?

    •

I don't… I really hope Cashrewards won't be dogging me and will just credit the bonus when the time comes.

      • +8 votes

If you've participated in previous promos, you'll know we've paid each and every one on or before the promised date. Nothing will change here.

    • +2 votes

I have the same concern. Shopback at least records it in your click history.

    • +3 votes

Exactly, must have don't about 5 of these this week but if it's not tracked then how are we going to remember in 3 months time

    • +5 votes

Use OzB's reminder feature for this deal (and every deal where it says "will not track", set the cashback date, then check your CR account.

  •

I spend $5.37 at Chemistware house yesterday but it track as $4.88

I assume the track amount is before GST.
Do i still qualify for the $2 bonus?

    • +3 votes

Indeed. Please see the terms in the OP:

Sales may report to Cashrewards ex GST so the amount shown in your account may be less than $5. You will still be eligible for the bonus.

    • +1 vote

Lucky yours even tracked. Still waiting on mine to show up or have to go through the submit missing claims process :(

  • +6 votes

    $2 from $5 is 40%

This is much better than 20% from shopback.

    I did the maths.

  •

Thanks OP. Bought a Sandisk Ultra 64GB MicroSD for $11.70 - $2 off Amazon.

  •

    trying to activate I get

Service is temporarily unavailable, please try again later or contact our Member Services team.

Ah yes competition at it's best lol

I keep forgetting.. for ebay, do you need to ensure your cart is empty before clicking through, or is that "feature" Amazon exclusive?

  • +1 vote

Awesome! Something to finish off the day after wasting it on eBay’s crappy hard to get airpod deals. Thanks TA!

  • -2 votes

so u can only do this once right? i cant even be bothered to register a cash reward account for $2…

  •

I think this has been asked before, but can you clarify what is meant by this:

Cashback is ineligible if you add items to your eBay watchlist and purchase or bid more than 24 hours later.

This is what I've been doing all this time. I add the item to watchlist, and then move to cart after clicking through rather than using the search function. Does this invalidate the cashback?

    •

I believe it means that if more than 24 hours passed between when you add items to your watch list and when you purchase them, the purchase won't be eligible for cashback.

If you plan to buy something on ebay using a cashback provider, DO NOT add the item to your watch list! You can add the item to your cart however for later purchase.

Meanwhile on Amazon it's the opposite, you can add items to a watch list, but don't add them to your cart until after you've clicked through from the cashback site…

      • +2 votes

        ah crap.

I took up the $5 SB deal and the $2 CR deal twice. I don't think I'll get any cashback.

It seems like a silly and very arbitrary rule.

The watchlist is the best way to ensure the correct item gets added to the cart, instead of needing to manually search and possibly get the wrong item due to 10 million variations by different sellers.

        •

Lots of discussion here about it.

          •

@tightarse: You gotta get stung once (or 4 times this weekend I suppose) to not be hit by it again in the future.

I just wish every retailer was consistent with their requirements so it's easier to keep track of what to avoid doing.

If you have to manually search for it, you can easily get the wrong listing which might be an identical item but different seller, different location, different shipping, return policy, etc. The watch list is there to ensure the correct item is being purchased amongst the sea of sellers peddling the same item.

EDIT: Does ebay allow you to have the item already in cart before clicking through? If so, what if the item is also still in your watch list at the same time?

  • +1 vote

Thanks Cashrewards and tightarse for these $2 for $5 spend rewards.
Never had I ordered so many $5-$6 things from Amazon. Amazon Prime paying for itself over this weekend lol.
And I'm helping keep Australia Post busy as well.

I've officially run out of crap to buy.

  •

    You're amazing!

    I prefer shop back

  • -2 votes

Hey tightarse! If I ordered an item, cancelled it cause realised I keyed in the wrong shipping address and reordered immediately would it still count? Thanks in advance haha

  • +1 vote

Thanks! Just bought a pack of starbucks nespresso pods (10 pack) for $5 from Amazon. Works just right with this bonus if you have prime.

  •

so if I purchase something on ebay and use a giftcard do I lose the cashback but the bonus still track like shopback or do I lose both? or get both?

  •

Literally just did an Amazon order just moments before opening up this page/deal.
A quick cancel and reorder of the same product…. Should see me getting another $2 off

I activated the bonus yesterday then made a big Aliexpress order but unfortunately the cashback didn't track (Unsure why, all my cookies are set right, no adblock, used the Cashrewards extension), if I lodge a missing claim and it's successful do I still receive the bonus? Or am I just pushing my luck? :/

    • +3 votes

You don't have any other extensions like Honey running, or software/AVs that have adblock/tracking cookie blocking? Your not clicking out of the browser to look at other tabs or applications after clicking through CR either?

So Amazon for example. Click through CR, search for item, add to cart, click checkout and pay.

    • +1 vote

Same here. I bought a $6 item from Aliexpress but it is not tracked (yet?). It is on the click history though.

    • +2 votes

Might need to wait longer. Not every company is going to track within 24 hours and cashrewards does state that it takes 1-7 days for notification. From my experience it usually tracks 1-2 days later.

  • +1 vote

Ordered some Tim Tams. Cheers TA!

  • +1 vote

Are cashbacks tracking slow because of Black Friday!?
I made a Groupon and Agoda purchase yesterday and neither tracked. Usually they would track in 30 minutes without issue.

  •

Hmm - My previous cashbacks have taken a couple of days before I get the email from CR.
    Are people getting immediate emails?
Doesn't the T&C say something about allowing some time?

    •

Tracking emails from both SB and CR have taken a while over this weekend. I saw when I was getting redirected for cashback to allow for 7 days for tracking confirmation.

  •

Thanks TA, got 3 lip balms for 4 bucks after cashback!

  •

Bit late but people might want to buy eyedrops at chemist warehouse?

    Thanks Mr T. Arse! :)
