        can I shake and redeem anywhere? (home etc) or Do I need to be in store?

        • +1

          Any where, just open the app

      • Damn, was hoping to get 4482 every day. I guess 4512 would be okay.

    • +2

      So no eBay? We might need the OP updated.

      Most of those offers are…. not good.

      • Pulled the data from the server traffic. There’s a chance it’ll be added later but I really doubt it.

    • -1

      You can only receive each offer once. So those playing around with the app, you can't redeem multiple lots of 1000 points.

      You can, however, 'manually' redeem all the offers today to save you having to tinker/play each day.

      • +1

        You can, however, 'manually' redeem all the offers today to save you having to tinker/play each day.

        How?

      • Can you PM me the URL to activate the deals?

        • You gotta know how to somewhat reverse engineer apps. Not just a URL.

    • Only these offers are available today (5/12/19):

      10054475, 10054476, 10054477, 10054479, 10054480, 10054481, 10054487, 10054488, 10054490, 10054493, 10054496, 10054499, 10054502, 10054504, 10054505, 10054506, 10054508, 10054509, 10054510, 10054513, 10054512, 10054516, 10054517, 10054519

      Wow, such a deal..

      Thanks for sharing but I dont think its worth the bother

    • Thanks for sharing. Not worth clogging up my phone with useless apps.

      • I figure if I take the food or liquorland ones, I can stack the points on top of the 10,000 for $50/wk over 4 wks Coles, and 10,000 for $60/wk over 3 weeks at liquorland.

        I definitely prefer just 'activating' the offers though rather than this frustrating 'game' where I'm frustrated that I can't select one of the better offers because I went for another try.

      • +3

        FYI (for Android) you can just play within the normal Flybuys app, you don't need to install an additional one.

        • How? I don't see it anywhere

          • @Krayzi: If you open the app and let it sit for a moment, a Shake and Shop button pops in from bottom-ish right.

            Pretty sure if doesn't show up if you have already Shook and Shopped today though.

            • @djkelly69: Also works like that on IOS too, need to install an update though.

              • @Agarwal: Ahh ok, I did update my app last night so that could be something for others to look at.

    • So not much different to the usual offers they send by email? If anything these are not as good!

  • Mmmm doesn't appear to be much for myself, good luck to others

    Also doesn't show up on all flybuys accounts we have.

    When playing it seems almost impossible to dodge the pavlovas? sometimes, and it doesn't always register picking up the offers.

  • +3

    Is this why all the regular bonus point offers have dried up lately? It seems crazy that it's the Christmas period and there's been SFA.

    • I just got an offer for 5x points at Liqourland on my Flybuys app

      • +1

        I was thinking more along the lines of "Spend $x get 2000 points" or "Spend $x for four weeks get 10000 points". I haven't had one of those in a while.

        • I am still getting plenty spend $x get 2000 points but not Spend $x for four weeks get 10000 points. The latter is always best.

          • @Yola: I have a few spend $x for 4 weeks for 10,000
            Guess it depends on your usage

  • Last year I think I got 20 zillion points from the eBay deal so was looking forward to this. Didn’t get an eBay offer today though.

    Seems like everything I got was related to Flybuys travel for all my attempts.

  • +9

    Got a free to try vitasoy offer

    • +4

      Might be worth a shake after all!

  • Yay milk not milk :)

  • +2

    What a waste of time…

  • +1

    Only got trash offers but maybe they'll improve later.

  • +2

    Most of the offers are not good

  • I can play this mutiple times!

    I got heaps of prizes now.

    But best one is the free to try soy one.

    • It's back again.

      I never knew when it started

  • +1

    Flybuys is the reason everything is expensive.

    • The data is used to remove more money than if the customer didn't use Flybuys. But the customer has no awareness of this.

  • +3

    There was a bug on my fone which allowed me to keep repeating the offers..

    Only managed a few like 36

    https://i.imgur.com/TY6WPem.png

    Best one being the free vitasoy one. No ebays I saw

    • haha, I would like to see your completion rate. 1/36? just the freebie

      • Ya Im only gonna use that free one hahaha

        • +1

          I wonder if you get the free 200 points if you get it for free as well

          • +2

            @knobbs: haha no idea! I'll see tonight!

            :D

            Not that I need the points, I have 780,521 points

            • @Turd: How? Any why….

              • +2

                @scuderiarmani: Dog food

                • @Turd: You've accumulated that buying dog food?

                  • +2

                    @scuderiarmani: Yes. Each dog food I purcahsed they gave me $2, approx.

                    • +1

                      @Turd: The DREAM, wish I was up on all these point things when they couldn't get their system working properly.

                    • @Turd: And the dogs are the reason you cannot fly away on a Velocity FF points holiday??

                      • +1

                        @Wally: Nah just give him to my parents if we do go on holidays… :)

                        For now I just redeemd coles gift cards to buy groceries for.. Life time supply of groceries!

  • Only one FREE thing?

  • +2

    Got a free Vitasoy soy milk… not badddd

  • +1

    flybuys will make a $5 Donation to Starlight.

    ^ This will make me do it. Without this I CBF.

    Instant bonus points (-> purchase petrol)
    Points when you spend $200 storewide at Target!

    ^ Also reasonable. The rest is useless to me.

    • Also took the $5 donation offer, probably the best offer on the app next to free vitasoy milk

  • +1

    Also got the free vitasoy

    • Yeah got the free soymilk also

  • +1

    Does the app contain pop over ads for your phone? I remember a while ago when the flybuys app was released this was mentioned so I never downloaded it.

    • +1

      I had to turn Adguard off to view the shake n shop.

  • Woolworths has a similar offer but the hub at the store where you claim your promo just happen to be not working! Just perfectly the right time during this promo isn't it

  • uhm…meh?

  • Just got a free soy milk. Wow.

  • Can't see it on the android app.. I have the latest version

    • If your phone has adblocking software installed, disable it perhaps.

      I got free soy milk after playing it

      • Thanks! Turned off AdAway and it showed up :)

    • I had to restart the app a couple of times and it showed up on the third try. No adblocking on my phone.

  • Woohoo - free soy milk

  • +2

    I was offered the soy milk but I have zero interest in soy milk so picked the bonus points on jalapenos instead. At least that's something I like. Not sure if I will redeem it in store but if it's cheap enough I might.

  • Thx OP - 1 Vitasoy Soy Milky Regular to collect for FREE

  • My app is only 1.12.0 and there isn't an update available :/

  • +1

    Didn't get the free soy milk sadly, maybe tomorrow? Hope it's not like the free juice I was emailed about at Woolworths today (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/502846), turn up no stock left :(

    • +2

      Typical with these Woolies freebies. Just a ploy to get you in store.

    • I also got the juice offer and two different stores didn't have them. This is the second sample in a row that didn't have any stock. I contacted Woolworths and miraculously, they now have stock. My offer ends tomorrow but I'm not sure about yours.

  • does it only apply to the same day, or at your next shop?

    • I claimed the Dilmah deal today and it looks like I've got 7 days to use it. Hope this helps.

  • +2

    1 glassware credit lol. Well, I mean it might come in handy 😂
    The free to try Vitasoy also is good.

    I'm hanging out for the donation to Starlight or to the "cool bonus points".

  • +1

    this app is not ipad optimised. It's got massive borders around a small screen.

  • +1

    Permissions on Android seem a bit much:

    flybuys
    Loyalty Pacific Pty Ltd
    Showing permissions for all versions of this app
    This app has access to:
    * Camera
    * take pictures and videos
    * Other
    * view network connections
    * pair with Bluetooth devices
    * full network access
    * run at startup
    * control vibration
    * prevent device from sleeping

    Run at startup, bluetooth, network connections & full access all unnecessary IMO.

    Bluetooth and network access likely for rough location tracking - at least in store (wireless/BT in store), possibly everywhere (did you just walk into woolworths! *gasp*)

    • Those permissions are bonkers! Internet access to flybuys api to update offers & store accepted offers - that's all that should be needed. Any others like camera can be requested as or when needed.

      • +1

        That's correct, all of the permissions listed are what's defined in the app manifest but upon first use of those features you will get a prompt to allow/deny it on an as-needed basis. Has been this way since marshmallow.

      • Camera I can understand to scan your card or something, and as Agret said on top of being able to deny permissions you actually get asked to explicitly permit them when they are first used. Still doesn't mean we shouldn't question the app wanting them in the first place. Especially given the kind of tracking some of those permissions would allow.

        The problem there being that if too many people start denying permissions those app makers will start making their apps refuse to function without those permissions (some do already).

        • if too many people start denying permissions those app makers will start making their apps refuse to function without those permissions

          It would be irrational for flybuys to do this, as they know full well they've got competition. Or you know, the website is still a thing.
          If the app refused to function without these permissions, the app would get uninstalled. I hope a lot of people would also act that way.

          As for up further, you can set permissions to "only while using the app" but not sure why you'd do this over denying them. They'll be able to still get a relative location through your wifi/data.

          • @pennypincher98:

            I hope a lot of people would also act that way.

            You don't realise the ignorance and/or apathy of the general public.

            thisisfine.jpeg

            • +1

              @Chandler:

              You don't realise the ignorance and/or apathy of the general public.

              Not sure if I agree with apathy, but certainly with ignorance.
              The majority of the general public just accept all the permissions, so app makers won't have to do this.

              • @pennypincher98: Apathy in terms of the whole "nothing to hide" that (some) people like to say, the whole "if Google/Amazon/Apple wants to hear me going to the toilet, so be it".

                • @Chandler:

                  if Google/Amazon/Apple wants to hear me going to the toilet, so be it

                  Please tell me noone actually says that lol, that's disgusting and creepy.

                  • @pennypincher98: Haha. Haven't heard anyone literally say that, but know some with an opinion that would be equivalent.

                    Some people just don't care - I presume they believe that even if their phone/etc are recording all the time (probably not) and all those recordings are being kept (probably - storage is cheap) then no-one's going to listen to it all anyway (probably not - around May this year it was reported that 500 hours of video were being uploaded to Youtube every day. That's a lot of content to consume).

    • And this is why I didn't install the app. Just seems a bit too much.

      • +2

        You don't have to accept all the permissions…
        I certainly haven't.
        The app won't refuse to open or anything if you deny the camera permission.

    • the app works with no permissions granted

  • Strange had to update app to see game. Originally installed app yesterday

    • I uninstalled the app and reinstalled but still can't see the game

  • +2

    Nice just saw my account…

    I got that Vitasoy for free

    Thank you for ~$3.45 worth

  • +2

    I got the 1000 points Maybelline one and as y use the promo anyway I thought Why not?
    Then it was on sale for 50% off so was thinking all good.
    Then got home and checked docket and found they had charged full price so back to Coles. They gave me all my money back ie it was free (which is still policy but they only do it if the customer demands, but according to the very friendly girl who served me she just does it anyway)
    So, now I am interested to see if in all that I still get the points!

  • -2

    Has anyone else noticed that today's shake'n'shop didn't show up today (or maybe its only on my end)
    Damn it.. i'm so hooked to play it daily LOL

    • Did you not see the giant Expired sign on this post?

      • -2

        Did the giant 'Expired' sign state as of xx/xx/xx or did the post suggest the offer details finishes up on xx/xx/xx???

        Sheesh I'm getting sick of some OzB members replying with stupid/sarcastic responses… relax peeps - it was merely a question to benefit all!
