Amazon is offering $4.99 Priority International Postage for items shipped and sold by Amazon US.

This is a faster postage method than the Expedited postage that they offer for free already for Prime members.

It means that anything ordered from the 5-10th of December which is the promo period should arrive in time for Christmas.

• The promotion is valid from 7:00 a.m. (AEST) 5th December to 7:00 a.m. (AEST) 10th December.

• This promotion entitles customers to receive discounted Priority International Delivery ($4.99 for Prime members and $9.99 for Non-Prime members) on all eligible items from Amazon US.

• The promotion is valid for a limited time only. Amazon reserves the right to cancel it at any time. Only items shipped and sold by Amazon US will be eligible for the offer when you checkout those items during the promotion period. If you do not purchase eligible items within the promotional period, you will not receive discounted priority delivery.

• The promotion applies only to eligible items shipped and sold by Amazon US. It does not apply to any products sold by other sellers (including third party sellers and Amazon AU). For example, if the promotion applies to cookware offered by Amazon US, the same cookware offered by other sellers on the Amazon.com.au website may not qualify.

• The discounted Priority International Delivery applies only to amazon.com.au members. It does not work on amazon.com.

    • In my understanding, US Prime membership has nothing to do with free or cheap international shipping to Australia - so it is irrelevant unless you want it for watching Prime videos of the US account.

Discounted or free shipping from the US is an offering by Australian Amazon Prime. Honestly, if they didn't offer it, it would be hard for them to scale their business here just based on the items listed on Aussie site and/ or US listed items with very high shipping charges.

Good time to pick up a pizza steel. Normally $150 in shipping alone, now $10. Not bad for 15kg shipped (or 7.5 for 1/4")

If I could pay an extra $5 and not use fastway, I’d do it every day of the week. I hope amazon doesn’t renew their contract cos they are absolute shite. Recent Package has been in Australia and cleared customs on Nov 20 and still hasn’t been delivered. This happens every time fastway is used. Would recommend amazon never use them. Screenshot

I use Sendle to ship and it basically decides on its own which carrier to use. When my label printer spits out the mystery courier company on the label and I see Fastway… I cry on the inside. I know there are going to be delays and problems.

    • tell them (Amazon)

  • I paid $15 for this yesterday 😭

If it hasn't been shipped, cancel the order and do it again 😊

If Amazon want to bump up sales why don't they just enable shopping from their European sites like .uk and .de

    Just do the needful /lol

    • Wouldn't that be nice! The AKG K702 was as low as £103. Amazon UK don't ship here

    • u mean like they did before they stopped it

      • You can blame Gerry Harvey et al for that one, Amazon only really introduced the restriction as a means of complying with the new laws imposing GST on all sub-$1K imports.

        • no - it was the America first politicians who run this country

  • What's everyone's experience with warranty from Amazon US (via Amazon AU)? Purchased a Samsung SSD from Amazon US and Samsung Australia flatout denied local support, instead asked me to go back to the overseas retailer to seek remedy.

    • Very good. Had a couple of issues. Once I sent it back for refund and the other they just said to throw it away and refunded. They also refunded me for return postage.

      • Good to know. I guess its only Samsung SSDs that I need to steer clear from.

  • I got a shaver in 3-4 days via standard international included with Prime.

  • As far as I know, Amazon is using Toll Priority for their courier. And toll is pretty fast. I ordered item from Amazon AU on the 2nd of December and arrived at my house on the 3rd of dec in the afternoon. Also in the morning, I got automatic sms saying that my Amazon package was already on-board with Toll courier. The service is so good.
If Amazon US using Toll for shipping to Western Australia, I'll definitely order something for my xmas present.

  • the items i want don't ship to Australia. probably the local dealer has prohibited them to do so. any alternative to buy besides using shipping services such as myus?

  • Still waiting on an item from fastway, ordered November 11 ?

Meanwhile I ordered something on Black Friday and was shipped in 4 business days with Fedex
    UPS was fast too.

Lots of the items in amazon us store shopfront seem eligible …

As far as some bulky items, lots of camping products like tents, air matresses, and coolers (esky) seem to all have discount shipping. Whether or not they are good value, who knows.

An inflatable kayak for $122 + $6 delivery seemed ok

    • Thanks so much for posting this. I bought a couple of kayaks today and am rapt. Now just hoping they arrive OK. :)

  • This may still be active…"The promotion is valid from 7:00 a.m. (AEST) 5th December to 7:00 a.m. (AEST) 11th December."
