Thanks BA! So the 3800X at 3700X pricing offered for Black Friday/Cyber Monnday has expired, but we've dropped pricing from regular pricing for the most popular upgrades of 3200MHz RAM and the 750W 80+ Gold PSU to help get closer.

I will also have a 3900X deal later tonight (posting limits pending). Other deals currently live at our account page.

  • What model is the 2090ti

    • The 2080 Ti has been the MSI Ventus GP for the majority we purchase, but brands may vary according to availability and pricing.

  • Why is the upgrade to 570 motherboard so much, what motherboard is it?

    • The X570 base is generally the MSI A Pro or Gaming Plus. The Asus Tuf WiFi is guaranteed to be that.

a "MSI AM4 ATX MPG X570 GAMING PLUS DDR4 Motherboard" and "MSI X570-A Pro AM4 ATX Motherboard" is only $259 at umart and your charging $269 for an "upgrade"

        • +1

Would they put them together in one go? It's a pain changing out a mobo.

          • @Levi: Upgrade should be less the cost of the original motherboard, some overcharging people there

            • +7

@asa79: They're not a public service, who are we to say what they should charge. Nothing wrong with a business making a profit. Customers decide if it's worth paying for. It's true Techfast generally have higher margins on upgrades than bundled items. I upgraded to the MSI Mortar board on this same deal with the Black Friday offer. $129 for the upgrade and I could get the board at MSY for that. And the B350 came at no additional cost. So yeah, I lost some value on the deal. But I still upgraded because overall I still get a great value system, professionally assembled, it still works out cheaper than I could build myself, and I'm much happier knowing I won't have a weak board with an overpowered processor.

@Falbium: Guess you on the wrong bargain site then

You probably like to be overcharged, but not everyone else does

                • @asa79: Like everyone else I like to get stuff as cheap as I can, but yeah, I'm also a realist so I realise businesses have to make a profit somewhere. And like I said, bottom line, I still got the system cheaper than I could build it myself, so I can hardly claim to have been "overcharged".

                  • @Falbium: Sounds like you would be better shopping at Harvey Norman's since you caring more about the store then getting a better deal for the customer

                    • @asa79: I sometimes do shop at Harvey Norman, that much at least is true.

If you want a better deal as a customer, just shop elsewhere. If you can't find a better deal elswhere, then maybe the deal wasn't so bad after all.

              • +1

@Falbium: As a business I can understand it's part of their business model/plan, they have to make a profit somewhere and it works well because most people don't know enough about PC's.

Other businesses might build a balanced build, a balanced build would cost more.. This sets a benchmark price.

Techfast purposely design their computers with some ok parts usually CPU/GFX and some really bad parts (both in quality and spec) to offset the cost thus offering a really 'cheap' product, some would call it a deal because it's below benchmark price.

If you want a balanced build you need to upgrade. Their upgrades are usually standard prices, but when you upgrade they don't subtract the full cost of the part being replaced. And in turn they make a profit.

What about weak power supply that will probably die as soon as the 1 year warranty is up? This depends on how much you use your PC, their builds I believe target casual/gaming users because with a case like that the inside of that PC will be running really hot, sure will run for a year… but with those temps something is bound to die around the 2/3 year mark. I prefer to have my PC's reliable and since I'm on it all the time it would wear out quickly.

Some would argue that over 1 year it's provided enough value and its time for a new PC, and that's why the deal still gets an upvote from me since most people are casual users anyway.

Bought the BF Ryzen 5 last night and gonna cancel that if okay in place of this.

Actually ignore this - I realised I’d exceeded by budget by 30% pursuing these bargains! I’ll barely use 40% of what I’ve got!

  • Would love this system minus the GPU. Unfortunately I have tens of 580's (ex crypto miners)

  • Does using a m.2 nvme drive disable any sata ports on the b45m2 motherboard?

    • And does dual channel ram 3200 work on This motherboard

  • Hi all/Luke,
Wanted a new PC only to watch 1080p & 4k movies in the x265 HEVC format. Also to set up a plex server to stream to different rooms in the house at high quality. What kind of processor/graphics card would be enough for this task?
I won't be gaming at all.
    Any help would be appreciated.

  • How long will this deal run for? im hoping it lasts another two days! i will be putting an order in on Wednesday :)
