W855BT / W830BT / W860NB are the only ones listed with “AptX”.
W855BT appears to be the “Premium” model and is currently $162.78 + $6.99 Delivery @ Amazon US via Amazon AU (out of country product).

- W855BT @ $75 Delivered

I have little information / feedback about these headphones so please do your own research before making a decision.
My quick conclusions:

  • W885BT is the most “Premium” in sound for music & build-quality (probably best value at 50% off but only 20 hours battery-life).
  • W830BT is the best featured (AptX, 95 hours battery-life) of the lower models.
(IMO the W820BT & W800BT could be cheaper)
  • W860NB is if you must have ANC (probably average / just ok ANC).

The battery-life seems to be very good on the W830BT (Up to 95 hours) and the W820BT (Up to 80 hours).
W800BT has Up to 50 hours battery.
W860NB (Noise cancelling model) has Up to 25 hours battery.
W855BT has Up to 20 hours battery.

“Buy 2 get 1 Free” deals are possibly ideal as bulk-buy gifts.

Notes:
W800BT is available for $46.49 @ Amazon AU for a single unit as per this deal.
And depending on the device used with the headphones you may experience slight audio-delay (latency).

Models below are “Buy 2 get 1 Free” meaning you can mix and match (cheapest product is free) or buy 3 of the same (1 unit is free). Calculations are for single unit cost when buying 2 & getting 3 of the same product*.

  • Upvoted because good headphones shouldn't have to cost more than 100 bucks

    • *wireless bluetooth headphones.
There are likely deals on better sounding ‘wired’ headphones below $100.

      • I am still after a decent pair that my quad dac phone will give me an edge with

        • Please be aware the advantages of the “quad dac” are only made possible by using wired headphones (analog signal path).

          • @thebadmachine: Yeah am aware of that, hoping for some suggestions

            • +1

              @Jackson: -
One common recommendation is the Philips SHP9500.
(SHP9500 has been as low as $58 in the past)
And a great deal on the Philips Fidelio X2HR might get under ~$150.
For less-common recommendations you will have to do some research online.

As always I recommend finding a store, and listening to the headphones before buying.
Spend a bit more and some options may be Philips Fidelio X2HR (V-shaped / fun) or Yamaha HPH-MT5 (balanced / detailed).

Warning: some of the budget options have a fixed cable, and if it is on the longer side you may have issues with using it portable.

              • @thebadmachine: Thanks, I am totally nonplussed with Bluetooth headphones, I get wireless makes some things convenient but living as long as I have with wired phone it's mostly non issue. I also feel that pretty much everyone is pushing wireless so hard that walking into anything but a dedicated audio shop there are very limited headphone options for wired types, and also not many that do noise cancelling (although maybe I haven't looked hard enough). I did eventually buckle though and get a pair of the Bose refurbs, was just too good a deal to pass up.

I will check out the Philips next time I am in a shop, hopefully I can have a listen.

                • @Jackson: I am a wired headphones only person myself.
Bluetooth is still IMO in its infancy and there are too many variables within standards which affect the signal quality.

Keep in mind both Philips headphones are open-back so they will let-in external noise.

                • @Jackson: You may also want to look into the Takstar Pro 82
Here is a video on them I came across on YouTube.

  • wonder what the quality of the - W800BT is like. Anyone got any?

    • Just to give you some reference, the $61.99 W800BT price for single-unit on Edifier AU is basically full-price (with the reference to discounted price being $46.49 @ Amazon).

So basically to equal the 50% discount on the W855BT’s $75 price, the W800BT price needs to be much cheaper @ $30.99.

      • So in a nutshell, is this a good or bad deal?

Thinking about getting a pair but no I'm unsure if I should just grab Amazon or buy 2 and get third for free?

        • Please read under “My quick conclusions” in the description.
The $75 W855BT requires only single unit purchase & IMO is the best value deal.

The rest of the models will require you to use the “Buy 2 get 1 Free” to get them to deal prices.
W800BT / W820BT deal prices could be lower in my opinion, but that is just my opinion in terms of what you are getting for the price.

If you only need 1 headphone I recommend you just buy either W855BT $75 @ Edifier AU or W800BT $46.49 @ Amazon AU.

          • @thebadmachine: Thank you.

For some reason, your quick conclusion isn't showing but what you've wrote made sense.

            Thank you.:)
