Man it's hard to find short lightning cables that are mfi cert! Nice find! Perfect for power banks!

  • +7

    Too short.

    6-8 inch would be better.

    • +7

I’m told it’s the girth that counts

      • +1

        You're both right.

        • 6" the sweet spot, but girth is more preferable, so i've heard

      • +1

I’ve always tried the excuse…I mean, saying that it’s what you do with it.

      • +1

        Black would fit all specifications..

    • +2

Despite all the unfunny stiffs who negged you, you get a + from me.

    • +3

It may be short but I still wish my girlfriend didnt have one

    • What yo do if it's 7 inch but she's still not feeling it?
      Asking for a friend…

Can get a red 6 foot for $9.02 or silver for $9.58 on the page options. Good cables.

    • Thanks. Bought a 6ft red cable - wouldn't have seen otherwise, then bought a 4inch blue as well. Ha ha.

      • gimme Metrics you imperial scums!
baby Yoda would like a word with youse

    • And a black 0.90 cm. also for $6.99 too if your really game lol.

  • +5

You can also find 10-foot gray x12 for $60.48 ($5 each) if you want to buy in bulk

  • Under style name the 3 foot one works out to be almost 1 metre $8.62 which is the original apple cable size

  • +2

Geez you think they could convert to metric for .com.au

    • +1

      Lazy Amazon.

        Lazmazon

        • Lady Amazon

      • Good idea! Let's learn an outdated measurement system that only three countries (and the UK in certain specific instances) use.

        • might be useful if you watch nfl, any american tv, or plan to visit the greatest country (by economy) in the world.

  • don't have prime otherwise would have ordered. :(

    • +1

They do free trials, I think?

  • +1

Perfect thank you. Have been looking for a short cable for my car for apple car play. Brilliant!

    • +1

Same - this length is perfect for car play.

  • 4” in perfect for the desk at work, thanks OP.

      A 12-pack of 3m white cables for under $66 isn’t bad either.

Thanks, i bought those. My shitty iphone 6s keeps killing all my charging cables so more is better for me.

      • Just curious how your phone kills the cables, maybe a joke I don't get lol.

        • +1

Over time it causes the cable to have black crap on the connector from shorting it repeatedly.

          • @Dowhatuwant: Wow, you were serious lol. Never heard of that happening to any phone/tablets, unless they explode.

            • +2

@ozhunter68: Yeah shits a bit dodgy, i need a new phone. Waiting for a good deal but they are pretty stingy with iphones.

              • @Dowhatuwant: Sounds like your phone/charging is dodgy.

Be brave and Go to the dark Side lol. Get a low cost Android Mid ranger.

                • +1

@ozhunter68: Have had Android before, family has iphones and do facetime a lot though so will be sticking with iphone.

                  • @Dowhatuwant: Sure, had a feeling you had a good reason to stay, can understand.

Just did not want to use the word : Ecosystem as that sometimes anyone's people lol.

                    • +1

@ozhunter68: Wait why does saying ecosystem annoy people. Seem like a harmless term

                      • +1

@Jared17: Haha, guess some people are bit touche.

Read a comment exactly saying that they hate reading that term "Apple/Android Ecosystem" (mostly Apple as hardware is more unique to it's own).

              • +1

@Dowhatuwant: I am exactly on the same boat as you as far as cables and new phone is concerned.

                • @CricNix: Wtf got my order but it was liquid eyebrow pen wtf???

                  • @Dowhatuwant: Haha. WTF? Got my order today and looks all good. Haven't checked if they are working or not as of yet. I'll confirm if you're interested.

  • Ordered one. I needed a short cable for connecting car play and keeping the phone in the console. Everything and everyone has a purpose!!

  • +1

Yep, good deals for the 6ft options too, just purchased a 2 pack of the 6ft ones.

  • any good offers on usb c to lightning cables?

  • Thanks, OP. I have found these cables better than Belkin and Baseus.

  • Bought a couple - anyone recommend a cheap but good quality micro usb cable?

  • +1

From my memory, an MFI chip cost USD$2.9
I doubt Amazon makes money from these basic products.

    • Really doubt Amazon with it's Huge buying Power would need to sell these below cost, low profit margin Yes.

Maybe your correct and Amazon kind of using these as lures to the site as "loss-leader", similar strategy to supermarkets.

  • Thanks OP, just what I needed.

I was desperately searching for a short MFI certified lightning cable to use with my power bank and couldn't find one.

I even ordered a $1 eBay cable last week but I don't expect it to work (if so I'll probably claim a refund?)

  • +2
  • My cable got nicked at work yesterday so this is awfully good timing.

  • thinking of getting a 12 pack. Anyone want to go 1/12ths with me?

  • The 4" cable includes the connectors so this is really even shorter than you may think. I bought one to use in the car but it's too short even for that.

I wish they had 8" cables.

  • +1

Anyone know if there's a good 1-foot/30cms cable or thereabouts? Cables are always either too short like this one or too long like 1m or above.

Just need something for the car which can reach from the 12V power plug up to the console, which is no more than 30cm.

    • Short USB extension cables cost about $2, use those to extend the Amazon 4-inch cables to a usable length.

For example, this USB extension cable appears to be about 15-20cm long: https://www.buyincoins.com/item/20555.html

    • 60cm at a reasonable price $7 and AU stock.

      • That one isn't MFI-certified though, could stop working at any time.

        • Been using one for a few months now without issue.

  • too short and horrible colour for a car

  • 10ft 2 pack grey is just $21.70. Insane value as 3m long cables go for something like $70 at the apple store… Great for use in bed haha.

    • Great for use in bed haha.

      Kinky

      • +1

I’ve found these cables pretty kink resistant.

  • thanks oP, bought!

  • Has anyone had their order not be shipped yet?

  • Thanks. Willing to try at $5.58 each. Easy return if no good or don't like too.

  • Got mine today

  • My order came but it wasn’t the cables it was a liquid eyebrow pen wtf???
