  What they mean by 'Refurbished'

  What does Renewd Certified refurbished mean ?
  Renewd Certified Refurbished Products are pre-owned products that undergo Renewd’s stringent refurbishment process prior to being offered for sale. While only some units are returned due to technical issues, every unit is evaluated to ensure it meets our quality standards.

  Each Renewd Certified Refurbished Product:

  Undergoes full functionality testing and any defective modules identified in testing are replaced.
  Is put through a thorough cleaning process and inspection.
  Is repackaged in plain packaging
  Includes either the Operating System originally shipped with the unit
  Is placed into a Final QA inspection prior to being added to sell-able refurbished stock.

  Refurbishment procedures follow the same basic technical guidelines as the manufacturers Finished Goods testing procedures.

  No specific information on battery, certainly not replaced. Maybe tested as a 'functionality test' which would be pretty basic. You get a used battery and a 90 day warranty (which doesn't mention battery either). So you might get a (very) diminished battery capacity which would still pass as functional. Buyer beware, you get what you get and don't get upset.

    If you know the part number, batteries can be sourced on Aliexpress and you can replace the battery yourself (assuming one has the right knowledge and tools to do said replacement).

    The problem with some of the older Haswell gen laptops is that their battery lives certainly aren't great when they were new. I stuck in a new battery in my Elitebook Folio (Core i7-4500u) and it only goes for 5 hours at most. Not great for a laptop that used to retail for $2k.

  I’ve bought 2 laptops from these guys. Both were around the $300 mark and included ssd, 8gb drr4 and 15” display. One had a faulty fan and they immediately fixed it. Very happy
