  • Anyone tried putting 2 of these in stereo?
I'm thinking about getting two and out in stereo but don't know if it's worth it

    • I have this setup at home, spaced out about 6 metres apart. Sounds great and makes a nice wide sound stage for the living room. The only thing is, once they're in stereo, only the left speaker will listen/reply to you for Google Assistant calls.

      • I thought mine was broken.
I didn't know only the left one answered.

        • Yeah - source: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7559493?hl=en-A…

          Using your Assistant
Important: When two speakers are paired, your Assistant lives and responds on the left speaker. To use your Assistant on the right speaker, unpair the speakers using the steps below. Then you can use your Assistant on both speakers.

  • I'm in same boat. Anyone hooked up 2 to their TV?

    • Apparently introduces a slight lag due to processing, so not great for use in this situation. May be OK for some people but I'm super sensitive to sync delay so it would drive me nuts.

      • +1

        https://www.cnet.com/news/google-home-max-latency/

Prior to an update, it was around 500ms latency, which was really bad. But after the update it's pretty much on par with every other external audio device (article says it was tested at 39ms)

        • oh awesome, thanks!
