I know this post has been flying around last 2 days.

Some of you have issue with over-charged $157 instead of $143. I'm struggling with it either. I bought one and they charged me $157 (but I already make a claim through Paypal)

Today I try again with Code SPEAKER20, but i don't know what it does. Price now even goes down to $101.97.

Please note: voucher codes are case sensitive.

Method 1

What I did. I install Honey add-on into Chrome, when adding speaker to cart and use Honey, It drops down to $101.97 by itself. Wondering if this is price error. Pay with PayPal.

Method 2

Open two tabs to the deal. In tab 1, click Buy Now to add product and go to cart. Switch to tab 2 and go to cart. Enter coupon code HOLIDAY15 and apply. Switch back to tab 1, enter coupon code SPEAKER20 and apply. Proceed to checkout and pay with PayPal. (Thanks to OO.)

    • Yeah, mine was processed through Sydney around 5pm. I'm not in a rush to get it, so it doesnt bother me. I'm use to waiting 2-3 weeks for packages from American nearly every month, so it's better to just let stuff go than checking daily.

    I bought five of the soundlink quietly confident at the time they weren’t going to honour the pricing. Just Austpost notification of two consignments on their way via StarTrack.

  • For my 300 speaker - after an hour and 20 mins hold, was able to reorder via phone. The order number on original order confirmation was different than the order number in cancellation email! So keep the one in cancellation email handy (starts with "N"). He said I should receive within 5 business days.

    • What did you say to them? I was trying to reorder today and they kept telling me no it's not possible because the system shows it as 299 and that Bose were only honouring the price for the SoundLink.

      • I told him I got a cancellation email asking to call for reordering. Once I gave him the order ref (starting with "N") he was able to pull the order and he himself said I paid $159.97 and he will place the order for same amount.
        Absolutely no effort from my side except for providing verification details and CC #
        Got text from CC immediately after with the correct amount (though no email from Bose but I am not surprised looking at how much messed up their IT system is).

  • Ordered three soundlink minis. First order, I ordered just one. Second order I ordered two more like 10 minutes after the first order. Got the email everyone got about order being cancelled for the first speaker. Second two were shipped. Delivered today, and checked my PayPal now and the 204$ charge has just dissapeared and the moneys back in my bank account. Did I just get two sent to me for free?

    • Amount was pending in both paypal and credit card this afternoon. Now both disappeared. No email from bose. Dont see anything in Aust post. Might have been imagining the whole thing but i do have email from when i placed order from Bose and paypal. Dreading the phonecall…

          Log into your paypal asap and remove bose from your authorised payments.

            @Wizard: Uh, assuming you can actually do that, don't do it.

            It's one thing for Bose to not process the transaction properly, but another for you to deliberately sabotage the transaction whenever Bose gets around to completing it. It's akin to committing fraud by writing a cheque that you know will bounce.

            Is getting a great deal on a price error not a good enough outcome fpr you that you have to up the ante with a potential fraud charge?

              So you reckon Bose will collect the payment eventually? Because like I mentioned before it was pending under authorisation yesterday before it just dissapeaed and put the money back in my bank yesterday

                @ara13: They might do, credit card preauths can last up to 30 days although it's unusual for a shop not to settle earlier than that.

                I think if you leave it for a month and your balance doesn't change after that, you've probably got yourself some free speakers. Nice if it happens, just don't be disappointed if it doesn't…

  • I wonder, say that Bose just had a regular sale (eg $101 for the Soundlink, $219 for the Home 300 and $319 for the Home 500 etc) - wld this have created a buying spree on its own, as opposed to someone discovering a loop hole/cheat/backdoor way to stack legit codes and subsequently creating an even bigger buying spree

      Nope, psychology. Would get good penetration for those thinking about it but almost none who were only interested because 'it's a good deal'.

    • Maybe not as much as a hack, cos people love to feel like they're getting an exclusive bargain, but if Bose was actually selling the Soundlink for $101 and Home 300 for $160 as discounted prices, a significant number of people would be interested anyway.

      • I had already gotten one Home 300 via the first code, but the hack made me live up to my nick and I got X3 more speakers (Home 500 and Soundlink), all as Xmas presents. So I think the hacks are a greater motivator :)

    First (finally) processed by paypal, but nothing on my credit card yet.
    Second transaction reversed by Bose, followed by the email asking to contact them.

    No other emails / tracking emails / Auspost notification.

    I've just sat back and done nothing. We'll see if anything arrives…

    Finally got tracking information yesterday (1537), invoice early this morning (0237), $101.97 with correct GST of $9.27. With StarTrack. This was ordered on Dec 10 @ 1430.

    Did not call or hassle anyone from Bose! :D

  • Can anyone please confirm whether Bose will honour a sale based on the Paypal transaction email alone or whether they require the Bose order confirmation email too? I placed 4 orders for 4 different items. Received paypal email for all 4 orders, but received the Bose order confirmation for only 2 orders. No dispatched emails received as yet.

    • Contact Bose to check as their treatment of orders is inconsistent.

      • Might just have to do this. I noticed 1 transaction in paypal has now completed whilst the other 3 which were pending have disappeared. All 4 transactions are still pending on my credit card. It would appear to me that 3 of my orders were probably rejected.

    • For the Soundlink Mini 2 or speaker sale, they will honour without you doing anything like Calling or Chat.
      NOTE: Some people are being overcharged for their order, so not 100% true for All order.

      For the Refurb SoundSport Free wireless $79 deal, you will have to call up and get them to manually process payment via Credit Card, if you originally order online and choose PayPal as payment.

  • I got the apology email from Bose like others did and honestly I cbf'd chasing this up. I could get the discounted price and everything would be great but after the stories here about others waiting for hours to get through I'm going to let this deal go through to the keeper.

    • Same here, ceebs waiting on hold to re-order something I'd already placed an order for. Plus I was so disappointed with the soundlink mini II that I did receive, I don't think I want the 300 any more.

      Also I tried out the Home 450 at Costco the other day. Bass is bigger than the small size suggests, but overall I wasn't overly impressed with the audio quality. Not sure how they are positioned versus the 300 though.

  • I didn’t make any calls. Got my invoice around 1:30 am this morning and, it was sent yesterday afternoon. Expected delivery is midweek to county Vic.

  • So I received a Tax Invoice with $101.97 (included GST at 23.81?) bit strange. However the hold on my card has disappeared but my Paypal is showing the 101.97 payment came out two days ago….really really strange.

    The Tax Invoice I have shows a "Remit Payment to" address up the top, not sure if they are asking me to send the money via check now to that address or not?

    "No claims recognised unless made within 7 days of the invoice date…." in fine print down the bottom

    I thought I sorted it all out with live chat the other day, or maybe I'm just not reading the tax invoice right…..The most confusing trade of goods I've ever done tbh, it'll be worth it but still….

    Live Support told me it would probably ship to my address on Monday, but I haven't received any shipping details as of yet (Perth WA) although the invoice has my shipping address on it and indicates free shipping etc. I ordered 10th December 11.30a.m

        On second thought, it’s a tax invoice which usually may not be paid yet, but in our case we have obviously paid. Don’t worry about it

The GST is wrong, PayPal has paid up as of two days ago, yet my bank account has removed the transaction by the looks (I didn't dispute the transaction). Not sure if they can reprocess the payment without permission, or if that payment is coming through again? I don't even know what's happening atm

          Gross unit price is $261.92 down to $101.97 on the tax invoice, with an obvious error in included GST of $23.81. Just looks like total chaos on Bose behalf. The email is titled as Bose Invoice confirmation….

    • For me, when I checked Paypal Activity, the Bose transaction disappeared.

      But if u click the Transaction ID link at the top of the email from Paypal when u first ordered, the transaction is still there as pending. Very weird

  • Sighhhhh! I called them at 8am sharp on Friday, on hold for an hour, and they said the orders fine, I'll get an tracking email on Friday.

    No invoice, no tracking email, PayPal transaction disappeared, PayPal transaction on my credit card disappeared. Nothing in my Aus post app.

    Sigh. Going to have to call them again Monday. And I was one of the earlier ones who made the order.

    Got my invoice for $101.97 at 1am, downloaded Auspost app and saw it is on the way as well. All of this without contacting their customer service at all so I'm laughing

    Now received my 2 home 300s. One ordered Sunday, the other Tuesday. Both transactions disappeared off my credit card, so I assume they’re free???

      They are not open weekends and will probably be closed over Christmas. It does not really leave that much more time

      Paypal authorisation has a honour period of 3 days only, so it will disappear automatically after that. However the merchant has a 29 day period to reauthorize should they decided to proceed with the order so whether it is visible in paypal doesnt really mean much.

    • same happened to me. Get your order number and credit card ready. Ring them up, they will reinstate at same price.,

  • Got an invoice email from Bose at 12.10am Sunday morning - Geeez, someone is working hard to clear these orders. I expect the parcel will arrive at work tomorrow. It has this line on invoice: "Incoterms: Free on board / DESTINATION" - I assume that means its with courier now.

    I wonder if after all this Bose are going to review their online ordering system? I'd say a top to bottom review is in order.

    Gotta hand it to Bose. Despite all the problems reported on this thread, a lot of which are due to impatience, Bose have come good in the end.
    Sending out maybe 1000+ (reported above) Soundlink minis at 1/2 price is quite honourable.
    If it was my company I’d have been tempted to cry “price error “ and cancelled all the orders.

  • I've got the email on Thu 12 Dec and mentioned that they honour the price I paid. But need to call Bose directly. Lucky I checked this thread again. And remember to check the email from Bose. I ordered speaker 300. Wish you have the same luck to most of you.

    Ok the charge has now appeared as a proper debit in my amex account now for the 101.97

    • Did you use paypal or your amex? Both my orders made through my amex card (not via paypal) have gone from my statement.

  • Called them early, provide the previously cancelled order. Denied to create a new order at $101.97 per unit. Well, thanks for saving me $200 for the boxing day. Good job.

    Update - called them at 8:00:01 in true OzBargain style. No wait time, went straight through like a real ninja.

    I was one of the cancelled PayPal orders originally. They can't charge PayPal for 101.97 for whatever reason, but will charge 169.99 (approx. - don't quote me on this) and have issued a refund for the ~$67/68 difference. Said it will take around 6 weeks zzzz

    Shipping confirmation to be provided once finance has OK'd the refund request. Apparently the system says I will receive my product on Wednesday 18th.

    I'll be asking them to pay me the 21 cents interest I miss out on over the next 6 weeks from the $68 I have overpaid them….

      • Did you ever get on to them? Was on hold for 65 minutes. Ist time I rang I thought they cut me off after about 15 mins but it is just a pause in the "on hold" script. Didn't fall for it the second time. Noticed there was another long pause at about 45 mins where I again thought I had been cut off but waited and the "music" came back.
        Looks like Digital Ninja has the right idea to ring at 8:00:01.
        After I got through took about 5 mins for her to check the order, tell me about the mistake with the code and take my credit card details. Told will get delivery on Wednesday honouring the $101.97 price on the order.

    Just received my sound link mini 2 at 9.00am today wohoo.
    I placed my order at 4 pm on the 10th. Received the invoice at 1.10 am on the 15th, and as many expected, it got delivered today. All for $101.97, and the best part is i did not have to contact them haha. I am one of the lucky one

    • Looks like the first 5 hours from this deal posted on OzB gets processed "quicker". Same invoice dates well. Mines to be delivered today.

  • I called at about 8:03am, was on hold for around 50 minutes.
    I said I was calling up to see where my order was as I placed it last Tuesday and haven't heard anything. I gave them my order number which I received on my Bose confirmation email and they explained there was an issue processing Paypal orders, they were automatically cancelled and an email was sent out explaining this (which I never received…). Anyway, asked did I still want to proceed with order as Bose are honouring the price and I could pay with Credit or Debit card instead of Paypal. I was then asked if Paypal authorisation was still pending, I said no as it has disappeared. Gave them credit card details over phone and they processed the order with an authorisation now showing on my credit card for the correct amount for 2 x Soundlink Minis at $203.93. Actual time on phone talking to someone to sort this out took max 5 minutes, just the wait time is a pain.
