I know this post has been flying around last 2 days.

Some of you have issue with over-charged $157 instead of $143. I'm struggling with it either. I bought one and they charged me $157 (but I already make a claim through Paypal)

Today I try again with Code SPEAKER20, but i don't know what it does. Price now even goes down to $101.97.

Please note: voucher codes are case sensitive.

Method 1

What I did. I install Honey add-on into Chrome, when adding speaker to cart and use Honey, It drops down to $101.97 by itself. Wondering if this is price error. Pay with PayPal.

Method 2

Open two tabs to the deal. In tab 1, click Buy Now to add product and go to cart. Switch to tab 2 and go to cart. Enter coupon code HOLIDAY15 and apply. Switch back to tab 1, enter coupon code SPEAKER20 and apply. Proceed to checkout and pay with PayPal. (Thanks to OO.)

        Bose called me to do new order after I live chat to them after hearing they're honoring the initial price. I cancelled my order yesterday because they weren't going to honor the price i was expected to pay

    Got a call. They're honouring all orders for $101. Any charge over that will be refunded. All sales will be shipped out by Monday at latest so everyone gets theirs by Christmas.

    I asked how many sales they made with the two codes and he said more than 1,000.

    • So 1 in 15 clickthroughs resulted in a sale. Not bad.

      • yeah, they said 'just over 1,000. Which I thought is fairly interesting. the plus votes are over half of the total amount. interesting.

    • That I rkn is a huge call. Despite an obvious error on their part they are willing to still sell 1000units. That's what $50 x 1000 of revenue lost?
      Kudos to them if all this goes through. That's a lot of up votes we should give them

        How is it lost revenue? I wouldn’t have purchased for more than $101 like most, and their markup is huge. I’m sure they’re in front on this still.

      • these things cost like $20 to make, but when you slap on the BOSE branding, it becomes $300 RRP. they're most definitely still making profit from the $101 sales.

        • But then you have to also factor in the R&D cost to make the product.

    Hi Guys

    I bought this deal thanks to the original post and was charged initially $143.96 by my papal account however it changed in a day to $159.95. This is quite shocking as it just shows the merchant can change the original authorized pricing by themselves without approval from the original cardholder. Anyways I have raised this issue with my Bank (Commonwealth Bank) and they have assured me they will dispute this transaction and fight for me to make sure I'm not charged more than the original amount which I authorized while paying. I just wanted to advise anyone who has gone through with a similar situation to report to their respected banks asap as Paypal won't do anything but your bank can dispute it and fight for you.

      • It says to contact Bose Support and provides a link, which goes directly to the official Bose support page. Was definitely skeptical at first but happy to call today and get it honored!

    I reckon they're doing this to try to minimise their losses - e.g. some people won't bother, some people might have changed their minds etc.

  • Got the email, still have 2 successful charges on my PayPal/credit card that are no longer authorisations.

    I would hate to work for Bose tomorrow. What a sh#t way to spend your Friday at work haha.

        • there's no consistency it seems. i ordered 2x soundlink and the one-line charge disappeared, and while it was pending, it was for the right amount.

    Ordered 300, got the "cancelled in error" email. I need to check properly that it's not a phishing email!!

    • Interesting to see if they are going to honour all sales and not just the $101 sales for SoundLink. I cancelled my two 300 orders today because this was getting out of hand but if they're planning on honouring the prices for all products then I might see if they'll process it again

        Who knows how Bose think. So now they are honouring the $101 sales but was not willing to refund $16 for the $143 ones and have not even communicated to those people. They need to get their act together. There seems to be issues as well with the refurbished soundsport even after they agree to honour it.

        Hope they will honour the 300 you ordered and all the other orders people have placed.

    I wasn’t hoping that they will honour the price but apparently they have. Just received an invoice (not order confirmation) from Bose and the total amount is 101.97. Hopefully it will get shipped soon.

    They're are honoring $101.97. Spoke to them briefly whilst processing my Soundsport free wireless earphones.

    The guy said "order completed" meaning money taken out (not pre-auth) and order has been forwarded to logistics to ship out.

    ETA early next week for shipping to arrive before Christmas.

    • One issue, it used the wrong payment method so I can’t see the CC transaction, is there any way to change payment method after a purchase by contacting PayPal?

      30 day excitement guarantee, have a play with it over christmas and if you don't like it or find a use for it send it back as unexcited. I'm in the same boat as you, I rarely use BT speakers.

  • I received email confirmation and my Paypal gone from authorization to purchase. However, no shipping notification dispatch or invoice whatsoever. Guess I'll just let them do the job and have faith it will come next week.
