Bose Soundlink Mini II Special Edition (Luxe Silver) $101.97 Delivered @ Bose Australia (Hack Required)

6101
HOLIDAY15SPEAKER20

Black out of stock

I know this post has been flying around last 2 days.

Some of you have issue with over-charged $157 instead of $143. I'm struggling with it either. I bought one and they charged me $157 (but I already make a claim through Paypal)

Today I try again with Code SPEAKER20, but i don't know what it does. Price now even goes down to $101.97.

Please note: voucher codes are case sensitive.

Method 1

What I did. I install Honey add-on into Chrome, when adding speaker to cart and use Honey, It drops down to $101.97 by itself. Wondering if this is price error. Pay with PayPal.

Here is my proof

https://ibb.co/hdqnP7f

Method 2

Open two tabs to the deal. In tab 1, click Buy Now to add product and go to cart. Switch to tab 2 and go to cart. Enter coupon code HOLIDAY15 and apply. Switch back to tab 1, enter coupon code SPEAKER20 and apply. Proceed to checkout and pay with PayPal. (Thanks to OO.)

Happy Hunting everyone

Really nice sounding little speaker (punches way above its size).

It doesn't say special edition on the order confirmation though

They might backflip and send us normal edition

  • +1

black is supposedly OOS but it still let's you add to cart and proceed with payment..

Bose needs to hire a better IT specialist for their dodgy website

  • Site says temporarily out of stock. Maybe they're onto the 2 codes trick.

  • +2

    I really don't need this…
    But I just bought one

    I'm a true OzBargainer I guess

  • Yup no longer accepting Holiday15 code

  • Any wisa enabled speakers that someone can recommend guys? To go with the LG OLED TV's that came out earlier…

  • Not working anymore :(

  • The code HOLIDAY15 apparently expired. They've realised the hack I suppose.

  • rip i was in checkout trying to buy, code stops working -_-

  • HOLIDAY15 gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Wow, it still worked for me about 3 minutes ago.
      Lucky for me I guess.

Try Chrome Mac + Honey add-on

  • Was working right up until I went into paypal, and it seems that HOLIDAY15 doesn't work now.

  • The price is back to $143.96 - all Hacks mentioned above are no longer works

  • hang on…
does it mean that I could have done this (2 stacks of coupon) for any other Bose products??

    • not anymore

    • i think so…

    • Should have tried it with the Bose Home Speakers 500 :(

      • +1

        Yes you are correct.
They worked for me when I got the Bose Surround Speakers and the Bass Module 700.

        • +1

I too ordered BOSE SOUNDBAR 700 + BOSE BASS MODULE 700 + BOSE SURROUND SPEAKERSBOSE BLACK for 1722.40$ - 35% discount (approx) XoXo

      • I did, worked. Got it for $320

  • Not working for me? Says 'HOLIDAY15' isnt suitable for the product.

  • I am so glad I bought this before the shenanigans began, I am almost certain all the orders from this deal will be cancelled, and didnt want my order cancelled because of the shenanigans

    • +3

Shenanigans like getting the best available price? You're on the wrong site

    • um

  • So gonna be cancelled. But I got in with Honey and Paypal.

  • Damn - missed it by 5 minutes

  • +2

Was lucky to get in before the code was cancelled. Ordered a pair of QC35 II and the speakers for $425.

The fault isn't with the consumer here is it? Isn't this Honey's fault considering it's such a 'backdoor' method? I wouldn't be surprised if orders are honored.

    • +2

Bose Australia Fault, as Option 2 doesn't require Honey.

  • -3

Contract is "complete" until all parties have fulfilled their obligations under the contract.

For retail sales, this means that the consumer needs to pay a sum of money and the retailer needs to supply the item.

If only one side of the contract has been fulfilled (the consumer paid and the retailer has not supplied the item), then the contract is not "deemed complete" at all in the eyes of the law.

If the retailer has provided a refund, then they have effectively cancelled the contract.

    • +3

      tl:dr consumer law 101

  • Missed out by 15 mins. What a deal!
    I'm glad I didn't get it though, I don't need it aha

  • +1

Bought with PayPal hours ago, still nothing on my bank yet. Just an authorisation thus far. Anyone else?

    • It doesn’t even show on paypal for me

      • did you place the order? there is a final click to confirm the order. i missed it the first time too

        • i did, got email confirmation from Bose.

    • Just bought - BOSE SOUNDBAR 700 + BOSE BASS MODULE 700 + BOSE SURROUND SPEAKERSBOSE BLACK with this hack for 1772 and Paypal took 1772 already from my credit card.
Fingers crossed, they dnt cancel my order

  • even though it was a good deal (pending) i didn't get one considering I don't think I'm ever going to use a portable speaker

  • order one, but almost have no hope of being honoured.

  • Seems to have gone from my Paypal. Not a great sign.

  • +7

Now, its time to ask Bose, why the coupon code they provided yesterday for not fulfilling soundsport free is not working. 😁

  • This was offering 35% discount to RRP on selected products,
I was once told that bose employees get 50% discount on all bose products. Which means, Bose will not be at loss if they honor this, as clearly these sales were boosted because of this glitch. fingers crossed :-)

    • Base price wasn’t RRP. It was a discount on a sale price

      • Not for all products AM10 has always been $1499

        • Got it. Not the case for the mini not the 300. Good luck on that one

    • Home 300 was available for 159, so the discount was on original price and not on sale price.

      • +1

        RRP is $399.95

  • Interesting day for Bose.

What if Bose…. nvm excited to see how the story unfolds.

  • +4

incoming bitter consumer law experts when their order gets cancelled

got 2 myself but very sure it'll get cancelled and won't be mad when it does

    • +1

you will, when they take 20 days to refund

      • Nah they won't charge you to begin with

        • People from last week deal disagree

          • @snvl: I guess those people don't understand it can take a few business days for the money show up in their account after pre authorisation is cancelled then.

  • Now lets see the comments!!

  • It's a good speaker but no water resistance and average battery life made me not impulse buy it.

    • put it for TV and see the different!

      • +1

Use it as a TV speaker?

        I use z623s

        • yes better than build in TV speaker and low power consumption too

  • I ordered one. Fingers crossed it will be sent!

  • I'm taking bets on whether this will be honoured or not.

    Betting $101.97 it won't be.

    • +1

I'm just hoping this doesn't f@#k it for the original $142.97 purchasers

      • +1

It shouldn’t, I received mine from the $143 deal today.

  • Hmm in my paypal transaction..

'This is a temporary authorisation to make sure your payment method can cover the payment. Your payment method will be charged when Bose Pty Ltd completes your order'

Could not pass up this deal but expecting a refund once bose decides not to complete the order.

  • +1

I'm not fussed whether it gets honoured or not, I'm just here for the fireworks and entitled people raging if it doesn't get honoured lol

    • +1

      Lol me too

  • -2

Just had email from Bose saying error in system and your won’t be honoured

    • What did you order?

    • Can you post an excerpt from that email?

  • Let the games begin.

  • +4

I just checked the Bose General Terms and Conditions of Sale: https://www.bose.com.au/en_au/legal/terms_of_sale.html

The terms and conditions relating to an order may be changed by Bose as long as Bose has not confirmed the order. Bose will inform the customer of any changes to the terms and conditions and, if the customer does not agree with the changes, they may decide not to proceed with the order.

I'm not really seeing how they can pull out of any orders that have been sent an order confirmation email… unless I'm missing something?

I received an order confirmation email, so I will be putting up a bit of a fight if they try to weasel out of it.

*edit - although I did find this a couple of paragraphs down…
Bose reserves the right to refuse any order. In such cases, an e-mail will be sent to the customer using the email address communicated by this customer instead of sending an acceptance of the offer.

So maybe they can still cancel the order as long as they don't change the Terms of Sale first. I wish I PDF'd the Terms when I first ordered. Because they could've easily added the above section to their website without anyone noticing. But if you have received an order confirmation, maybe that trumps this clause as they have not refused the order and instead, sent an acceptance of the offer.

    Bloody legalese!
