No offense, your site doesn't look professional

  • How do you even get the domain for 2 months? Do you just buy it for a year and give the customers access for 2 months? If so that must be expensive on your end.

Google apps does it for ten users for free and with 25 GB of storage per account.

$50USD for the premium 25GB storage. Free accounts get the same amount as regular Gmail users, i.e. almost 8GB.

But still, I agree wholeheartedly that Google Apps ftw.

        +1 !

      • Yep. I pay $10 per year to godaddy for my domain name, and zero to google for hosting all my mail, blog, reader, maps, documents at my own domain name, for myself and my wife. I've got multiple addresses to help with spam catching, and I have accounts set up for some family so they can log on to our private blog to get the latest blog posts (mostly pictures) of our baby.

It's awesome. The only bad thing is that I still need my normal gmail address for using google+, as it's pretty much the only google service that doesn't come with google apps.

        • +1 to everything you've said - I'm 100% the same. Google Apps is great!

    • go apps!

  • I suppose free is cheap, but after 2mths it's pretty pricey.

Godaddy $2 domains from with free email address & basic add supported hosting.
    Migratable to google/icloud

I'd buy a .com.au with a cheap host, then use on Google Apps.

And if you have an ABN, then the Google Free Aussie/MYOB offer is still on.

    http://www.gettingbusinessonline.com.au/

Which includes free domain (2 years and apps setup, as well as a basic web page)

    So not really a bargain.

    • That MYOB deal is great if you're a small business, unless you're a small business that specialises in creating and hosting web sites for small businesses, in which case… it isn't. :(

  • I agree. It's a good deal for the first two months, but afterwards, there's better deals out there.

Google apps is what I use and it's easy to set up and simply works. Plus it's free forever.
