Good price, I've got this TV. Setup with HDR10 content, this is awesome for the price. The P8MR is the one with the Dolby Vision chip, try to get that if you can.
Btw the $556 price was the Good Guys at their best with a price they wouldn't honour, most if not all got a cancellation email, similar to the Xbox One X situation and many other price stuff ups by TGG.
Has anyone had issues with this TV? I got one for my sister during the last big deal and she's done nothing but complain about it restarting or flashing and staying on a black screen etc.
Update to latest software?
Mine has been working fine
It does have a slow boot from complete power off but fastboot is fine when just from standby
Does she like the numbers 5, 5 & 6 😂
No problems here.. some things to check to be sure it's not something else.
She's using the latest software release - check with TCL.
All of the HDMI cables are of decent quality, even go and buy some new HDMI2 compliant cables to be sure.
If the drop outs are with the digital TV stations, make sure the antenna and signal are of decent quality.
And if all of the above checks out, contact TCL.
I believe this model is EOL. JB Had them discounted in the Education Portal for the last couple weeks.
Someone associated with JB could confirm.
If indeed they are EOL, that'd be pretty quick. They were only released mid-year 2019
New update model 75P8MR (with Dolby Vision) is now available.
So probably why the 75P8M is EOL.
