Shipping for me is $10 for 1, $25 for 2, $50 for 3! Bizarre pricing

    • Yeah it's always the case with Stratco. Better order separately if ordering more than one.

    • I'm getting $25 to ship one!

stratco are crap no load weight to be seen

        • +2

I have a couple of these, ok for light loads, but they are flimsy

The stratco 5 shelf galvanised unit is going for $10 right now.

    • +2

      Showing as $59 for me.

Edit: Found it, there is a couple different ones: https://www.stratco.com.au/au/storage/garage-shed/stratco-ga…

      • Goes to $29 on checkout for me

      • For me, first click I got directed to a store with it available at $10, but when I searched for other stores it went up to $29.
Then when I went back to the original store it stayed at $29 until I cleared cookies and it went back to $10.
        Hope that helps.

        • Could you purchase at $10?
It won't let me purchase at $10. Goes up to $29 at checkout.

          • @CYMA: Yep, worked for me. On the first click I wasn't logged in but it preselected pickup to a store which I assume had availability (Canningvale WA). Maybe it could work on another browser if the cookie delete wasn't working.

I actually ended up ordering two… dunno if that made a difference but everything went through no problems.

            • @Dungeon Master: Hmm, still won't work for me - even when deleting cookies/using private browser session - always bumps up to $29 on the last step after entering the delivery address. Oh well.

              • @CYMA: Bugger, they just cancelled my order and refunded me, so looks like you didn't miss out in the end.

You too now can be the god of wisdom, poetry, death, divination, and magic.

Comes with Thor book corner. Loki sold separately.

      • +1

I hear the Thor unit comes with a hammer.

        • +1

Yup. better finish it before aunt Hela comes though.

  • Holy shot. bought one in August from Bunnings. $89

    • So this is a great deal?

      • I thought it was going to collapse when I finished the assembly, but after I put loads of stuff on it, it is pretty good.

  • +1

    How much are they usually?

  • is the length in packaging 1.8m? I wonder if it fits in my car.

    • Packaging length would be 0.9m. It's essentially two shelves stacked on top of each other.

      • Do you have link? Just want to make sure.

        • I don’t have a link. Only that I saw the shelf and box in person and decided against buying one.

          • @OneJay: Thanks, I decided just to get it delivered. Save my back.

  • Wonder if Bunnings will respond like normal. Closest cheapie they have is the Montgomery one, 1830x910x410.
    https://www.bunnings.com.au/montgomery-1830-x-910-x-410mm-5-…
    (still $44.50 for now)

    • will Bunnings price beat applies to this?

      • +1

No. But sometimes Bunnings drop the price themselves.

    • +1

Bunnings doesn’t have a equivalent shelf to this one. Furthermore this has been Stratco’s normally price for at least 10 months already and Bunnings hasn’t, or needed, to respond.

This Stratco one is the weaker, tab style shelf (similar to Aldi’s), whereas the Bunnings Montgomery one is a riveted style.

  • Just came back from Aldi, they had a set that looked good for $50, seemed pretty sturdy, I'm going to wait and see if they go down in price

  • +3

These basically fall apart if you move them. They're incredibly flimsy. Dismantling them often results in irreparable damage.

    • Weird, i own several different brands of these that have all been dismantled and moved at least a couple of times and they are all good still.

  • Anyone know box dimensions?
I'm assuming the 1.8m height is probably 2x 0.9m poles connected in the middle like most of these steel shelving units?

  • +10

OzRRP again. This is the Stratco's normal price and poor quality comparative to riveted type shelving such as Bunning's cheapest $44.50 offering.

These are the same quality as Aldi's $49.99. The shelving is 4mm thick particle board and very flimsy. The Montgomery shelving is much stronger and the shelf board 10mm thick.

Also, Bunning's Montgomery vs Pinnacle brand - the latter has additional riveted brackets which secures the top section to the bottom section better.

  • Thanks op, got 5 already, bought a few more.

  • Thanks OP , bought 2 , pick up at Punchbowl Store as I live near by .

  • Thanks op. Ordered

  • Does it wobble?

  • I have bought these ones previously and found them really stable and good. Have put a lot of stuff in them

  • For those of us in SA, Paramount Browns have two riveted-style shelving units, allegedly rated for 350kg/shelf (evenly distributed). The shelf material is 12mm MDF, so these sound like sturdier variants of the same thing, if anyone is interested.

    Both 420 deep, 1835 high…

$69 for the 920mm wide unit:

$99 for ~1200mm wide (there's a typo on their webpage, might be 1220mm wide):
