Logitech LS11 Speakers $10 at Crazy Clark's

490

Was on the hunt for some new speakers and came across these in Crazy Clark's new catalogue.
Probably a little underwhelming for what I'm after but they are cheap. Starts 11 Aug.

Try GO-LO, I think its the same company but different name.

  • Was also on sale for $10 down at my local Post Shop in west end

On sale at Greensborough (Vic) Post Office as well.

It's a good deal, we have these at work and they are decent speakers. They normally retail at DSE etc. for $27

  • AustPost also sells this for $10 I think.

Probably the most consistent reviews I've ever seen for speakers::

Good find nfr.better to donate that $10 to a charity would be a wise choice.

    • LOL!

Makes me wonder why logitech allows reviews on their website…

      • +11

I personally think that all reviews on sites should be like that. It shouldn't be edited by the companies just so their bad products seem better than they actually are. And also, for the deal its also applies for Chickenfeed and Golo. =)

      • +1

Most of the bigger companies allow that. Like Dell, Logitech. They know what they are selling. They might be taking it as a free feedback from the customers to improve their products.

  • While I love a bargain already have some great speakers.

  • +1

    wow this is cheap!
I have the LS-21(the 2.1 version of this)

    • +3

Please go get some better speakers or something issh :( But then again you're broke and taking OzBargain freebies so maybe anything better is too expensive ;)

      • +1

        haha lol will do
(once my desk is clean, so much stationary and cables spread out on it)

        • +4

Looks like issh still hasn't sorted through all his bargains yet :P

    • haha i got the same ones (2.1) and they seem to be fine for me

These speakers are poorly built which is why they are dropping in price. Do a google search on it and there is a common problem where after a while you will have power problem which results in very low level of noise and distorted when you put the volume up. You will notice the green light power indicator going dim as you turn up the volume. I had one, lasted for a couple of months and off to the bin. I wouldn't waste money on it.

    • Sadly to hear this

I guess the deal is not…

        (sunglasses on)

        as good as it sounds

        YEEEAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!

why would anyone actually bother on getting speakers like these..go spend $50 dollar more and get a set of decent speakers..

    • +4

Because they're 500% cheaper? They're fine for everyday computer use, ie Skype, etc. If you want a good music or movie experience then that's a different matter.

  • +1

Also for This price at go-lo and Sam's warehouse

  • These are the recommended speakers for a budget or general desktop build on Whirlpool forums - http://whirlpool.net.au/wiki/rmp_sg_whirlpoolpcs_systems which is why i decided to buy them.
I got a pair for $16 from MSY about 3 months ago.
Cheapest on Static Ice is $14.30 - http://www.staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=Logitech+LS…
You get what you pay for in the end so if you're after something cheap that'll just do the job of a basic speaker (YouTube, Skype, etc.) then these are a winner. :)

    • the comments on the logitech site have very much put me off though, need a pair of speakers with coax input for the Soniq TV (no headphone port) but a very cheap set or it ruins the point of the cheap TV.

the Edifier M1350 2.1 look like the next best thing according to whilpool.

  • Found 1 cheaper- $9 http://www.chickenfeed.com.au/catalogue-other-states.htm if you become a free member

  • Bought one…and donated it :)

    • +1

How about next time you just donate $10 instead of giving junk to orphans? :P
