    Awesome thanks dealbot

  • +5

Hopefully SB will be upfront this time on whether its limited to 1 transaction or not.

    • +3

Last time it was unlimited transactions. The only time it was restricted to 1 transaction was the 20% during Black Friday weekend

      • +2

the black friday one was unlimited

Update from shopback rep: Unfortunatly we got beaten to posting the offer and couldn't control the T&Cs on the post. We understand that this isn't your fault and have decided to also honor all user's transactions that came through during the flash sale even if they made multiple transactions.

        • +2

Initially it was meant to be 1 per person, rep confirmed this in the comments. I only made one transaction because of this. There was some backlash so after the deal expired, they let everyone know that they'd honour all transactions.

          • +1

@FireRunner: They did? Damn stung for checking the offer

        • +1

unlimited but capped at $50 total i think

        • +3

thats really generous on SB part, if it was cash rewards, definitely won't honour it and not even that CR won't have such high cash back rate

    • +1

I don't see any T&C to say that this is limited to one transaction. In previous deals, Shopback has been clear in how many transactions it allows.

For example, the Book Depository deal yesterday specifically mentioned "Capped at $7.50 Cashback, 1 Transaction Per Customer". This condition hasn't been mentioned for Amazon.

      • +1

Usually, but they were not last time for 20%. The rep came in mid deal and said 1 per person, It was chaos at the time and stopped many of us from further purchases (me!) and worry for those who already had. Thankfully as mentioned above appears they agreed to honor multiple transactions after the fact - all readily avoidable with 1 line in the T&Cs. Hopefully it was just a blip in what is usually a great SB experience.

      • Thanks Martin!

  • Just wondering I got $50 dollars worth of promotional certificates from Amazon cause of late deliveries does cashback work with purchases made partially with said certificates?

    • +3

My understanding is that they dont. Also believe any order that is partially cancelled is also inelligable.

      • -1

The one I haven't been able to work out yet is when Amazon give you a partial refund due to a price drop do I still get my cashback. I've had 10c refunds due to this and hope I don't miss out on $6 cashback.

        • Partial refund due to price drop?

Last time I ordered something that went on sale they made me return it and buy again.

          • @kuwahshi: Preorders sometimes give a price drop after shipping.

          • @kuwahshi: This is what I got recently too. It makes no sense really. If you do what they suggest, it ends up costing them the same, plus the return shipping label. They may as well credit you.

But anyway, I was persistent and eventually they gave me a one off $25 credit toward the next purchase (the price drop was $75). Better than nothing, and I keep my cashback I assume.

        • +1

I bought a Galaxy s10e on prime day and they later dropped the price by $1 and sent me a partial refund without me asking. It didn't effect my cashback, was still paid as normal.

  • +1

I pre ordered a game from Amazon during the last 12% CB, does anyone know if Cashback is invalidated due to best pre-order price guarantee? I was refunded about $5 after item was shipped

  • I see from Shopback "Prime membership purchase is not applicable for cashback". Is this true?

    • +2

      Yes

    • +2

Membership/subscription renewals i.e. $6.99 is not applicable for cashback.

    • +6

Not too sure of the answer you are after buddy.

If it is written there by Shopback, then you need to assume it is true, otherwise why would they put it there?
I could tell you - no, it is not true. But that won't help you when your cashback doesn't get approved.

    • +1

Yeah based on what you've supplied I reckon you're a chance. Pretty ambiguous

  • +1

Would've been on this for the Q950 deal but the $50 cap is a bummer. Better off with 3.5% uncapped..

Edit: Actually, if the 12% cashback applies to more than 1 transaction, it would be $30 better than the 3.5%..

  • $416.70 in a single transaction is sweet spot to pay out the $50 cashback cap.

    • +14

Actually it's $458.37 due to cashback not being counted for GST

      • +2

You are right, thanks for correction 👍

  • Perfect!!! Thanks OP

  • I'm praying there will be good deals with SSD drives on boxing day :D

    • following for some cheap 1TB NVME

      • About $166 for the silicon power a80 after $20 cash back. Currently $186

        • Been following it for a while (we also commented in another node). Im looking for a deal on the original price ($186 is only a $5 drop) as well as a deal on cashback if possible. I can wait till next year if needed if I can pay sub $150

          • @CodeXD: Fair enough. $166 is pretty good tho. I reckon for a higher end 1Tb you’ll be waiting a little while for sub $150.

  • Amazon Gift cards are eligible for this? Thanks

    • +3

Paying with gift card - yes.

Cashback is only payable on order value (excludes taxes, shipping and packaging costs) and is valid on orders paid for with gift cards (not orders with Amazon credit).

      • Is the purchase of an Amazon Gift Card eligible?

        • +1

          No.

It's listed in the "Don'ts" on ShopBack's app.

  • I wonder if we're getting any sitewide ebay coupons, sigh.

    • I've spend hardly anything with Ebay vs Amazon last 2 months . Opposite first part of year .

    • +3

Ebay has been awfully quiet this Xmas. They even pull off the 3% discount code prematurely…so I ended up buying discounted stuff direct from the sellers’ web sites, and some from Amazon.

  • +2

Can you combine this with the $10 off $39?

  • Damn was hoping for 20%, but this will do :)

  • +1

Where is eBay in all this…they have been so quiet

    • +1

rumor is, they will do 10% off eligible items.

      • +3

        eligible items…never works for me.

      • +1

Doesn’t look like it. Even the 3% code was cancelled.

  • I’m not going to blow my load (of money) too soon. I’ll be holding out for a flash 20% off deal. Fingers crossed.

    • +3

Get ready to be blueballed then because last year, only black friday had 20% off for 1 hour just like this year.

  • Cap 50…

  • Does this work with the Shopback app —-> Amazon app?

    • What about shopback browser to Amazon App?

  • NOOO!
    I just bought a Shure sm7b.
Getting $30 cashback but it could have been $50. Bugger

    • +2

Hand in your OzBargain badge ;)

  • Nice zip co 10% off again please

  • It says cashback on all category, hope we can buy gift cards with the cashback

    • You can't according to the terms.

  • -1

So is it unlimited, up to a max of $50 per person?

  • Haven't seen anything worth buying…

  • Shit, i just bought $40 worth of goods

  • How do you 'set yourself a reminder on Ozbargain'

  • Looks like its already started?

    • not yet. it says 26th on the banner and in words below it says “valid on 26th Dec”

  • 12am start?

    • Same question here. No useful info anywhere

      • +1

Should be 12.01am. Just to be sure, refresh the Amazon landing page and make sure the cashback rate shows as "12%" and not "up to 12%".

        • Do do do…still says 'up to' for me. Is it assumed AEST?

  • Anyone know how to search Amazon's boxing day sales?

  • ok. it is very close now.

  • +2

    Let the buying begin…

    • +2

      *impulse buying

      • +1

        "necessities" of boxing day

      • +1

        yeah baby.

    • It is still up to 12%

      • +1

it is on the browser addon but shows 12.00% Cashback ( Capped at $50.00 ) on their webpage

        • +1

          can confirm this

Edit: browser addon now says 12% cashback. Cache has refreshed on their side

        • Yes, noticed that but even in their website there is a banner advertising "12PM onwards" not 12 AM.

          • +1

@Seraph2052: OK, the extension is fixed now!

          • +1

@Seraph2052: ain't that the banner for the shopback shopfest boxing day blitz flash sales? which is probably another event I reckon

      • +2

but it applies to ALL categories.

  • +1

OK. Corsair RM750x 750W 80+ Gold Modular ATX Power Supply $160.20 Delivered @ Amazon AU bought. waiting for the shopback confirmation.
night night ppl. happy boxing day.

  • Is this active yet.
    It's 9.30 on WA time

  • Silly question: Would a Subscribe and Save subscription void this promo?

  • Ordered and waiting for shopback confirmation.

    • its my first time using shopback - i was wondering how long it usually takes to receive a confirmation? thank you

      • +1

Usually within a day. Although during the Black Friday sakes, my shopback confirmations took a few days to appear in my inbox

  • Wondering, does the 12% cashback from Shopback/Amazon payout on gift card payments too.

ie, part payment by Amazon gift card and part payment by promotional credit and part payment via credit card.

    Thanks

    • Amazon gift cards are generally eligible however promotional credits are not. So I'm not too sure

  • ordered the s8 which came to about $348 after cashback yippeeee

  • I assume capped at $50 per transaction and not per account?

    • Would like to know as well
