    I have your exact setup and have been using Slik sprint pro II 3 way for travelling for 4 years now without any issues.

    The Slik is rated for max 2kg (which the 5d3 and 24-70 is approx 1.6kg). I have had no problems, and love it because of the weight and simplicity of setup. Even works with my 70-200 2.8 telephoto but struggles a little in stronger wind. This manfrotto is rated for 3kg but most reviews dont seem recommend it for big DSLRs.

    In my opinion this should be fine for a travel tripod. I would recommend also taking a look at the Slik which is priced similarly. For anything more serious it may be worth investing in something more heavy duty.
