I was looking at the Asus PG348Q deal but I was wondering how this one slipped under the radar. Hard to get a high refresh rate ultra wide for cheaper than this!

  • UWQHD Resolution (3440 x 1440)
  • 100 Hz Refresh Rate
  • FreeSync range of 48 to 100 Hz
  • VA panel with 3000:1 nominal contrast
  • Curved Gaming display (1800R)
  • Anti-Flicker and Less Blue Light – game even longer and prevent eye strain and fatigue
  • 178° wide view angle

No RTings formal review, but reviews quite favourably amongst other sites:

Nice find OP. This is good value. Some might argue the merits of IPS vs a VA panel also freesync vs G-sync. But in terms of cost, this monitor is a winner.

The monitor has a tilt only stand and comes with no VESA mounting support built-in so keep that in mind.

I suspect this is the same panel as this Kogan monitor since they have identical specs: https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/kogan-34-wqhd-curved-219-ultraw…

$60 cheaper, has VESA mounting, two of my friends have it and love it, but the bottom bezel is a bit ugly IMO and of course it's Kogan.

P.S. has previously been on sale for another $50 less if you're patient: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/458966

    • Nope most of Kogan use Samsung panels for their tv's and pc gear but with average processing components etc

      • Built with a premium Samsung panel
      • Yeah, Kogan uses Samsung, I couldn't find what the MSI one uses from a quick search. Just mentioning if people's primary criteria is price.

        • Oh yeap wasn't thinking about what panel MSI uses sorry !!

  • I have this Monitor its pretty decent, have it paired with a 1080 I followed a couple guides on YouTube for calabration etc also got it with a free chair awhile ago

Two of the 'reviews' you linked are ad and referral farm scams. The Tom's Hardware link is the only valid review, in the sense that they claimed to have received the product.

This monitor would be a decent comparison point for how it would perform: https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/samsung/c34j791-cj791…

Here's a Philips unit using the same panel:
    https://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/philips_349x7fjew.htm

Response times between 5-15 ms, often 5-10ms, making it snappy enough, but some dark smearing as per usual VA panel behaviour (and overdrive performance of this unit).
