Yes, I wouldn't use live chat at the moment. You'll be waiting a while. Queue of ~20. I've just gone from tenth in the queue to eleventh as well! Also, they are still having issues with porting numbers in. I've been waiting 4 days already. Pretty poor performance from what is our major Telco!
I ported a week ago and their system claimed it couldn’t verify my identity before it asked for my identification details, live chat had it sorted and I was ported within 10mins though.
It was kind of paradoxical though because the time before when I ported to Telstra they didn’t ask for any details or verification, I guess they used details from my old Telstra account.Well, I was told to ring the porting team but they weren't actually open for the first 2 days! Now, I've just been told that it's VodaFone's fault so I've cancelled the port.
@englfc: When I did my first port a few months ago after being with Voda for many years I was told the same thing. Turned out it really was voda’s fault as they had somehow switched my first and last names.

Yes - and the first recharge is basically the activation. So it's first month + 2 additional months.
Can you provide a link where it says 3 recharges. Currently chatting online with Telstra and he says (Mark from Telstra) that it’s only for one month.

Oh so it's the bonus data only for first 3 recharges and not the price! Doh! I though it's $19 per month for first 3 months! Second and third recharge we have to pay $40 per month.
By "New Telstra Pre-Paid Max customers only" does it mean it excludes people who already have a Telstra Prepaid SIM or two or three?
Or does it mean any fresh activations are okay?
I'm assuming the latter, since I can't recall any prepaid offers that have excluded previous prepaid users before.
