[QLD] Ryobi One+ Bypass Pruner Kit with 1.3ah Battery $99 at Bunnings Mt Gravatt (not on website)

140

The Ryobi bypass pruner is $199 for skin only, as per Bunnings site: https://www.bunnings.com.au/ryobi-18v-one-bypass-lopper-skin…

However at my local store Mt Gravatt they had a kit with 1.3Ah battery and charger for $99. It appears to be an older box and isnt listed on their site so not sure if national.

They’ve been trying to clear them for a while now - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/496713

I’ve seen the marked down stock at multiple stores in Brisbane since that original post. As recent as this weekend.

  • It says the length is 8500mm. They will be hard to balance…. :)

  • Fantastic tool and great value at $99 if you can find one. Got one about 2 months ago for that…. Which was the last one anywhere nearby I could find.

    • What is the reach on it? The website says 8.5m but I don't think that's correct?

Nah, it's only 85cm in length, and doesn't extend.
Mine gets jammed when cutting some thicker things, but most other pruners would jam on the same garden waste.

Wouldn't a pole saw be a better buy for around that price?

    • No, it basically replaces long handle bypass loppers, and for that is great. Not a Pole Saw or Pole Pruner.

My point was for a site about saving money, I would buy the pole saw - which can achieve the same goal as this tool - and a lot more, for the same price.

        • You read my mind

need two hands to safely control the pole-saw…. I can walk around with the powered-lopper in one hand, and a beer in the other, and chomp through the palm fronds and branches and not get any blisters or bicep-cramps or get thirsty.

    Big in mafia circles…

  • I use a reciprocating saw, which was 139. I bought a pruning blade from kango or diablo.

  • Thanks for the post. I went looking for one, and was only able to find a store that had the display model in stock which they sold to me for $50. Dad is happy.

  • Some available still Bunnings Oxley and Rocklea. They were on the top shelf out of the way at the Oxley one.
