  • spam.

  • Sounds interesting but I can't seem to see what the deals actually are. It lists all the merchants but nothing is clickable.

  • M27 - Its not spam - a real live posting.

Neil, I have created a guest id - its User Name 5551155 and the password is guest

Have a go and let me know what you think of it

    Cheers

  • Looks interesting. The Coles & Safeway cards may be alright albeit EBay's going rate is around 10%. The restaurant list in VIC is the usual suspects (Gurkha's, Falafel Kitchen) who give discounts in Hotdocket and various websites. It's very similar to RACV's discount restaurant list.

I'd doubt I'd get my $20/yr worth out of it.

  • Pretty useless for WA residents.

  • I got one of these for free last year.. have still been yet to use it!
Unless you're living in the inner city, a waste of time in my opinion.

  • Not a good deal AT ALL. I got one of these cards for free and it's not useful at all, I wouldn't pay $20 for it.

    • how'd you get it for free? I'm interested if it's free

  • Spam.

  • Fuel savings are nowhere to be found. Gimmicks.

    • Hi vwh - you get fuel savings by picking up a Woolies / Safeway wish gift card from Presidential Card. The normal price of a card is $100 - you get it delivered to you at $95. Thats $5 saving for every $100 which you can use as cash value for fuel at Caltex Safeway branded outlets, shopping at Tandy's, Woolies, Big W, Dan Murphy's etc. Many of our members who normally shop at Safeways or Woolworths use the wishgift card to get a discount on their shopping and combine it with a shopping docket at the fuel bowser to maximise the benefit. If you spent $150 a week on fuel and shopping or $7800 a year, with the Wish Gift Card through Presidential Card you would save $390 a year. And that's through only one benefit. There are thousands more benefits to choose from.

      • Can the gift card be used at the petrol station along with the 4c petrol discount dockets?

        • Yeah of course, you should see gift cards as cash or credit card (but only usable at that particular merchant). It's just another method of paying so you can definitely combine it with a 4c discount.

  • I got one of these cards for free (through the SES/CFA Membership program) and can assure you that once you login you can see all of the offers available to you. The offers are extensive, and is a great bargain!

  • Just to balance out so I voted +1 although I don't think I'll ever get one.

I don't think a deal posted by the representative is necessarily a spam. For me it is no different from paying for an Entertainment Book…

  • Presidential card is not bad. I got a free one last year through HooHa. I've since used it at Jenolan Caves and the Reptile Park up north of sydney (2 for 1 offers). They have a few decent benefits but not enough to get me to pay for one.

  • I don't know why people are voting negative for this deal. It's actually not a bad deal.

Admittedly the range of merchants is quite small but you can easily get your money's worth just with supermarket gift cards.

I already have this year's Entertainment Book and they offer gift card for Coles only. It's the first time I heard of the Presidential Card and I haven't seen the deal until now because all the negative votes. I'm tempted to get one.

    • Do you know what the offer with the Coles gift card is?

PS: ignore this - i just got my answer

      • Note that Coles gift cards can't be used at Coles Express (petrol).

  • Hoyt's Tickets are at over a 30% discount on Presidential Card. Buy a book of 10 tickets at $105 instead of $160 at the counter. And you have a one year validity on use.

That and 17,000 other offers on for members at www.presidentialcard.com.au

    • I would like 1 for free like these other ppl, if you can do that, I'll take one, thanks

      • I'll take a free one as well.
