UPDATE 20/01: £50 cashback deal has ended, and new deal is now £19.50 (~$37 AUD) cashback from TopCashback UK for a new customer registering and sending their first money transfer of £50+ through WorldRemit.

Cashbacks:
TopCashback UK new account referral = $9.50 (£5)
WorldRemit TopCashback UK link = $95 (£50)
WorldRemit referral bonus = $35

Steps:
1. Sign-up to TopCashback UK using one of the OzBargain referral links for new account.
2. Use an OzBargain referral link to get a referral code for WorldRemit (copy from the URL after code=)
3. Setup a virtual UK bank account in your name with TransferWise. Use an OzBargain referral link to sign up for a fee-free transfer of up to £500.
- This is also required for withdrawing cashback from TopCashback UK (British bank account required for withdrawal).
4. On TopCashback UK, search for WorldRemit and clickthrough link to get cashback. Enter the referral code when signing up.
5. Send £300 (approx $570 or equivalent) through WorldRemit to your virtual UK bank account. I selected Cashplus for the bank and can confirm it works. Entered random numbers for the mobile number - isn't required for any verification.
6. Transfer funds back to your regular AUD bank account from TransferWise.

    Hi guys, I did the full circle and confirm it works. I used CBA debit card, and the funds is now sitting in my transferwise having being sent via world remit. Have initiated transfer back to my account and it will be in my account by tomorrow.

    EDIT - while I was typing this…transfer wise completed the transfer to my CBA within 2 minutes! Impressive…

    Hats of to Op…this has been an interesting and rewarding journey to get some cashback.

    Money out - $579.13 from CBA
    Money In - $562.94 into CBA

      Did you create a new Account? Australia to UK transfer? I used ING Debit card.

      I received the following response when I queried the Account suspension:

      We regret to inform you that your account does not meet our approval criteria and we have therefore suspended your account in accordance with our terms and conditions. Unfortunately we will not be able to provide you with our services for the time being.

        I created the world remit and top cashback account this morning. This message is it from Transferwise or World Remit?

    Getting very worried. Messed up my first attempt due to not seeing the BACs details requirement, so I did another transfer properly, and it's been over 6 hours with no tracking whatsoever on my TopCashBack account. Still shows the "clicks" but no pending anything.

    I just went through all the steps. Everything was looking promising with my payment showing as processing (used ING debit card to fund WorldRemit). When I later went to track my transfer I get a message saying my WorldRemit account is now disabled. Doesn't look good! A word of caution to anyone else considering giving this a try

    EDIT: Money arrived in Transferwise account and is now safely back in my ING account (Sent $578.64, Received $565.81, Loss $12.83 before any cashbacks). WorldRemit account is still disabled

          I think the problem was doing a minimum transfer just to get the referral bonus.

          They probably were losing money and they weren't really attracting repeat customers

    So where is the £300 coming from? An aud accont or gbp? It only gives me the option to transfer aud to gbp not send gbp. I cant get the free transferwise transaction and already have gbp in halofax that I want to send to aud account in Australia so should I just send 300gbp to aud in aud local account?

    Topcashback showing 50 GBP for me, pending, now. Keep in mind I did my transfer within 6 hours of hte deal being posted.

    So what's the next step?
    World Remit sends $35 code, and I use that code to WorldRemit my transferwise balance to Australia?
    Or I guess I could WorldRemit $35 to transferwise and then use another referral (skrillex, remitly etc) to send that to australia, yeah?

    Looks like we just need to send to our GBP account again, but we'll only be able to send $31.01 after the fee.

    Send 31.01 AUD, fees 3.99 = 35. Minus discount 35 = 0

    Then you need to send it back to your AU account from Transferwise again.

    50 pound is now 'payable' but the referral is still 'confirmed'. Hopefully that changes shortly.
