Boss man Rep, tronsmart USB-c to lightning please!

    • Second this…

      • Maybe get an adapter from USB C to lightning?

Keep in mind from next year high chance Apple moving all devices to usb C.

So not to invest in lightning cables atm, unless you really need to

        • +1

as far as i know, there are no usb-c to lightning adapters that have the chip required to signal for 18w and 30w fast charging which iphone and ipad use, so you need the mfi cable.

          • @musicinbed69: Those mfi certified cables are $25 or over, so if you really need fast charge 18w go ahead else an adapter is fine for file transferring if you don't mind the slower speeds. Haven't got one so dunno if it's ok speeds

I'm not buying a USB c to lightning atm due to knowing Apple will change unless cheap like this deal

          • @musicinbed69: There are plenty of USB-C to Lightning cables available that will do USB-PD and have MFi certification.

            • @Clear: That is true but quality matters….I wouldn't go for anything but reputable on MFI cables eg. Xiaomi, Anker, Chotech or Tronsmart haha

            • @Clear: They were talking about micro -> USB C adapters

              • @0jay: I see no mention of Micro USB. Only lightning 😉

                • @Clear: Ok, the comment was about an adapter though

    only 480 mbps on usb-c to usb-c is a bit sad …..

Thanks for pointing that out. Deal breaker.

Which one to buy 1m or 4ft?

    • +21

1m. The 4ft one would be incompatible as we use metric system here.

      • What if you were born well before the 70s?

Should those people get the 4ft version?

        • +2

My dog prefers the 4ft cables, 2ft’s as much as I can handle personally

  • Thanks, bought 3

    USB to USB C ? 😉

  • +1

    Damn, after something around 30cm

    • +4

      cut it

  • I don't think I have a USB C-C cable. And I want to have at least one of EVERY cable. Thanks!

  • Is there a 30cm USB-C cable available?

  • +4

Per the 480mbps comment, posts like these need to begin to advertise the transfer speeds of these cables.

Simply being USB Type/C doesn’t mean it’s any going to be a fast cable. This is USB2.0 speeds - completely pointless unless you only want to use this as a dumb cable to charge.

You should be demanding 5gbps or 10gbps and those that charge up to 100w to future proof yourself.

This cable is fine for us whom use it for charging only.

It's the perfect cable for Nintendo switch charging via USB PD charger…for transfer you would use USB A to USB C I don't see an issue

It is cheap for a reason

You would be paying lot more via the old deal in comparison https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/509501 and still usb 2.0 480mbps. So not sure what you complaining

Feel free to pay more for higher transfer rate

  • The only trouble with this deal is it might take more than a month to get to you. From past experience free shipping takes 5 weeks to metro

  • Is there no standard for USB C that denotes speed or charge only identifiers on the cable?

At least USB A had different colour inserts to tell the difference between 1,2 and 3

Found what I was looking for (page 27 onwards)

  • Got the cable today. Just in time before the virus thing delayed all shipping
