This does not include any of the Indian versions.

I like the Thai Red Curry version, it is really tasty. In the interest of full disclosure I did grow up White Anglo Saxon Protestant in the 60s so I deseed the dried Chilli before adding it into the mixture.

Been a while since I bought this
Didn't they used to be $5 each?
Or was it only the Indian spices kits at that price?

and then used lots of quilton.

      • These are curries …..

        • and some can't put two and two together

@TEER3X: Now I'm worried, will this particular curry significantly increase my usage of quilton?

If so I might have to pass and stick with ice cream.

            • @H E B: Doubtful. Unless you're affected by spicy curries and you make it extra spicy or something.

  • Is yellow curry (chicken) not a popular dish in this country or something? Never seen a kit that has it, would think it'd be a good seller.

  • How do these compare with Marion’s Kitchen currently on sale at Aldi? Love her Thai Massaman curry.

    • What does Massaman Curry Taste like? The internet is full of descriptions but nothing is really helping me understand.

      • Massaman is a rich milder heat creamy curry. Sort of how Korma is to Indian curries. You usually have it with beef and potatoes. At $3 probably worth a shot.

I prefer this to the couple of Marions kitchens I’ve had but, as indicated, I’m a WASP. I’m not sure how “authentic” these are.

I find the spice tailors to be the best multi stage kits you can find at the big food retailers.

This over the canned jellow also known as pratak sauces.

Not half price at my woolys or online

    • Might be state specific. Are you looking at the Asian ones? The Indian ones are full price.

  • Their Indian curries are fantastic, Iove the idea of the steps (eg aromatics, protein, sauce, coconut milk). The frying of aromatics is so crucial. I love chopping up the dried chilli into little bits - seeds and all.

I must say I wasn't blown away by the green curry - yet to try the red curry. Hopefully it's better.

Thanks for this. I love how they say 50% off when all the other normal price flavours are $5.50 full price and not $6. Bloody price manipulation

    • I think these are normally $6. I haven’t seen the Asian variety anywhere but Woollies, and not all stores. The red curry is one of my “go to” dishes when I’m feeling lazy. Cut up chicken and shoestring carrots and just add the ingredients, as stated.
