Should probably mention this is at bunnings somewhere

  • Store in title please OP. I’m guessing Bunnings…

  • Updated thanks

  • Epping (VIC) had some.

  • Do they only come with screw in globes? And can you connect tk the lights as well or just the plugs?

    • +1

They come in B22 as well.

    • Buy before ask questions, very limited stock lol

  • +7

Stock levels (updated, from previous deal)
    BC 0111096
    ES 0111097

Only 1 per store near me, which probably means no stock.

    • +1

40+in stock at the mornington store (20 per box)

      • +1

Stock systems are an indication & rarely accurate. In previous Deals, stock numbers shown were sometimes negative!

        • Yep:

          Store: Morley
          Stock: 5
          Message: Out of stock

          • +1

@rith: Stock can disappear from shelves for various reasons, without going through checkout. So still shows in stock.

When stock shown on system is searched for & not found, they add the message: Out of stock.

            • @INFIDEL: Huh, TIL!

              • @rith: These are likely Promotional stock, which are not usually given shelf space. So can be moved around store, losing stock in moves.
Customers can pick up, & put down elsewhere. Stock may be lost under other stock or behind shelves. Original stock number received may be incorrect. And other reasons including theft.

          • @rith: Which aisle?

Couldn't find any at Morley, Bayswater or Belmont from the last deal

            • @mlb: I haven't been, I was just reporting from what I saw in the tool.

    • Whats the difference in the two codes?

      • ES or BC - the type of light socket.

  • Are these Alexa compatible?

    • +2

      Yep

  • Cheers, just grabbed the last B22 set. Asked if there was anymore in the box but said they were empty. 3 screw sets left.

  • Still kicking myself I missed that Phillips Jb Hi-Fi deal.😭😭

    • +2

Don’t. Amazon will drop another Philips Hue deal soon.

    • I got the Bunnings lifx deal don't need to buy a hub

      • +1

Problem is your router will have a limit on how many WiFi devices it can connect to at one time. This is why a hub is useful.

        • Yea is why I bought a top router . Either way costs money lol

    • +2

My Phillips starter kit has faulty bulb, and JB Hi-fi refunded due to no replacement stock but they didn't refund postage ($5). So I'm out of pocket $5 with no deals and maybe you're lucky you missed that deal.

Any way of getting a NSW store to price match? My locals (Gregory Hills and Narellan) show plenty of stock.

  • i just bought one from bunnings penrith…..$14.50

  • Is there any way to price match in NSW? 😭😭😭

  • None left at Mornington, couldn’t find them anywhere

    • +1

couldnt find them? there are 3 boxes full just 3 hours ago.
go back and ask which aisle.

    • They were right up the back of the store. This display was sitting on two boxes which felt like they were full, but i asked and were told they were empty. Might be lucky and he was wrong.

  • Cross roads has them on specialfor $45….wow

  • +2

Just got one for $15 from Chatswood store. Still more than 10 in stock there.

  • Check bunnings in caringbah on special for $29.

I bought this kit and they have a glitch with Google Home. I have my bedside light plugged into one. Every time I ask Google to turn it on it does so just fine but says, "Sorry, the bedside light is unavailable right now." Tried everything to fix the glitch but no luck. It's really irritating. No issues with Google Home turning it off, though.

    • +4

I had the same issue. I think it’s related to the rubbish Grid Connect app. I ended up setting up the globes with the smart life app and it works ok now.

      • +2

Thanks for the tip, I'll give your suggestion a try.

      • +2

Update: the Smart Life app did indeed fixed the issue. Thanks again.

  • i got 2 last time @ $10/was

Can vouch worths every penny. Particularly the USB-PD, charged my iPad pro, iPhone 8 x super fast.

    • USB charging??

      • +2

        Lost Ozbargainer

  • Can I get some examples of what people use these for - love the idea, and my local has them in stock but cannot think of how i would use them.

    • What store?

You can use them to turn your lights off and on from any location or trigger them based on events in the app. Same goes for anything you plug into the adapters. Lamps, lights, fans, subwoofers etc.

      • When you say lights, you don't mean ceiling lights do you? Only lights that are plugged in, like a lamp

        Store is in regional wa

The christmas light idea is good.

If used for a tv, wouldn't you need the remote to turn on anyway, or if running through a pvr to change source.

        • If your ceiling globes are either ES or BC type, then yes - just swapp the globes. If they are GU10, then you can get Smart GU10 globes like these.
The smart socket can control the on/off power of devices/appliance you plug into it; like a lamp.

I'd be hesitant to plg my TV into a smart socket, unless you're not concerned about turning off your TV at the wall power point.

    • +3

Over Xmas I used the power adapters to schedule all our Xmas lights, inside and out.

I also use a power adapter on the kids TV so if they don't listen, Hey Google…

  • How do you get them to check instore if they have any? Is there a barcode/ID you can quote?

  • $14.70 at Bellambi NSW. Only ES left though.

  • +1

Purchased two from Chatswood. There were 4 BC and 7 ES left 2 hours ago.

They were a bit hesitant to price match the other stores but when they search it up it shows as deleted and should be clearance stock.

    • They declined me just now :(

Oh well, I don't really need them, just a very good deal!

    • Also got declined, because clearance mark downs are specifc to stores

  • +2

There seems to be none at cranbourne and fountain gate

    • I actually bought one of these last week from Clyde Bunnings. Next day there were none left so I assume none there also.

  • Qld Bunnings are still $29 in store.

Showed the staff member that other stores selling for $15 and he said he could ‘max’ (?) them for me.

    Got them for $15 each.

    • Which store?

  • My local had them for $7.50, call me Broden.

    • Which store?

      • +3

Doesn't matter now, does it? :)

      • Wodonga. I actually left 4x ES, do I have to hand in my license?

    • +1

      LOL, onya mate!

  • Are the bulbs smart as well? or is it just the power adapter?

    • Bulbs and Plugs are WiFi controlled through either the Arlec app or Tuya app (Tuya Convert/ESPHome if you're really keen)

      • @krouton24 - Oh awesome, what a great deal !

  • All gone Hoppers Crossing. Sold 100 yesterday apparently.

  • Are these worth it just for the USB-PD adapters? Don't have a use for the bulbs, but the adapters would be handy for fans plugged in if works with google home. Probably unnecessary to be honest :). Only showing one in stock too so probably a long shot.

  • Phoned Dandenong as fountain gate said they have 8 in stock.. guy said he can confrm the system shows 8 but there is none left

  • Just picked up two at Cessnock Bunnings for $10 each (BC and ED)

    • Where is this ?

      • +1

        See above - Cessnock Bunnings

  • Tried 2 on the central coast and couldn’t get any.

    Sad Dave!

  • +1

Bunnings Gosford had these at $29 today, price matched $15 from last week.

  • Kangaroo flat had these for $30, weren't wanting to sell for $15

    • I've got a copy of the receipt if you want them to price match another Bunnings.
