Good price for a take anywhere camera, they are so handy to have.

    • The top feature is video recording - it's unbelievable for such a small thing.

  • ..

  • Wish it was the FT3 with GPS and compass

  • I am very happy I got the FT2 for $244 delivered just b4 my snowboarding trip to queenstown. Its a great camera. I would prefer over this because the claim of 10m waterproof vs 3m. My 32gb class 10 from mymemory didn't rock up in time so I grabbed the $8 8gb class 4 sandisk and it did the job for hd recording.

… I know I know cool story bra

  • The FT3 is the latest model, waterproof to 12m, so a lot safer at the beach as you need to allow for waves and bumps http://www.cnet.com.au/panasonic-lumix-dmc-ft3-339309162.htm

a special on the Ft3 would be popular, at present cheapest is $330 incl shipping on ebay

    • Yeah Amazon is at US$275 + getting it forwarded to OZ but $244 for the FT2 with local store (Big W) and extra 1 year warranty (Amex) made it more attractive for a risky waterproof electronic device.

Had to foresake extra 2m in waterproofness, gps and compass or something and most importantly 1080p Full HD video vs HD video. But it may have been NTSC 60 instead of Pal 50 blah blah blah. HD looks good enough for me right now

    • the FT3 at videopro is $429 which is a lot more than ebay or other online sellers

the FT10 is only 3m waterproof, and 720p video, which since pana says you need to allow for waves, etc really only makes it safe to have it just under the surface of the water, where 12m gives you a bigger safety margin
