    Two years ago (according to archive.org) you could run Wordpress Multisite (and other apps as well) on Zuver for $3 a month with free SSL.
    Now apparently costs have doubled.

      Unfortunately that pricing model proved to be unsustainable, and since then, we've done a big overhaul of our brand and product offering. We are now focusing on providing a quality product for a reasonable price, that is tailor made for WordPress websites.

      As a side note - our custom cPanel hosting (from $4/month) includes a free SSL so that might be another option for you instead, if you're looking for a cheaper alternative. You'll be hard pressed to find anything much cheaper from an Australian-based provider these days.
