  • how do these compare with cherry brown switches?
i have a keyboard with cherry reds at work but really dont like the lack of tactile-ness, so looking at something with tactile that aren't loud like the blues.

    • From this Logitech G512 Carbon keyboard review

with the Romer-G Tactile, I can definitely say it lives up to its name. It’s incredibly silent, even if you hit the keys instead of lightly tapping them. To note is that the Romer-G Tactile features a very subtle bump that makes it entirely responsive to your strokes.

      So should fit your requirements.

      • I have G710+ (Cherry Brown) at home and was looking at getting this G512/412 for work use as I type a lot. I went instead with a Corsair RGB Strafe 2 (Cherry MX Silent). I prefer the Corsair by miles to the G710+.

The G710 has a slight wobble whereas the Corsair is stiff and feels more "mechanical". With the Corsair, if you listen hard enough you can hear a spring reverberation if you strike the key hard which, strangely enough, is reassuring to know that it is still very much mechanical.

  • I'm after a low-profile mechanical keyboard which has enough on-board memory to do on-the-fly macros without relying on software.

    • G915/815

    • Hey mate, i was used to playing on a laptop and wanted something for low key. I went for the Logitech G815 LIGHTSYNC RGB Tactile Mechanical Gaming Keyboard and have not looked back.

      • Yep got this too. Fairly quite but gives you feedback, the actuation and full down press is much less than a normal keyboard (in my opinion) so the keyboard feels and looks discrete.

  • Doing a warranty claim on my G512 Carbon as we speak. One of the key LED's stopped working. Only 1 year old :/

  • +2

that you can feel as you press them

Holy shit you can feel them?! Such innovation.

  • Great keyboard. Lifespan not so much…
