Should change the title to 30gb, as circles life chews through double the data of normal telcos

    • Also have this problem, but I'm on the free promo so can't complain (for now).

Their billing confuses me also, I didn't sign up for the free promo until the end of November, but I have $0 bills for the entire month of October and November and don't really know what my bill will be this month.

    • Why is that? Are they calculating their data different to other telcos or something?

Are they calculating their data different

        That's not a thing.

        Fraud is a thing.

      • Sounds like it. Using some legal wording as well as technical tricks.

Get your favorite lawyer over one evening to help you understand the legal jargon,…oh,…and don't forget your magnifying glass for the "fine print" lol.

I remember there used to be some thing where telcos would charge you for minimum 1MB each time you use data. So if your phone checked something for 1KB, you're getting charged 1000x that amount really.
I'm guessing this would be something along those lines.

It's not stated clearly (and not mentioned at all on the CIS) but if you look at their call rates it looks like they do charge data per MB. If you are someone who turns data on when you need it or uses wifi it would be fine otherwise every email or notification that comes through is 1mb.

    • I use a proxy server that counts all of my data usage which I compare to my bills and I've not noticed anything fishy yet in the 2 months I've been with Circles.Life
Seems to be the same typical usage calculation as I've experienced previously with Jeenee and OVO. I'll keep monitoring, but is 'double' a figure you've pulled out of the air, or is it calculated?

      • Pulled out of the air
Mind you in not the only one who complains about their usage rates

  • This has been extended to the 29 February 2020 (7pm, AEDT).

  • Does anyone know if we move 2 numbers across, can we combine the netflix gift cards and pay for premium rather than basic?
