Its a part of the 9th console generation and the 4th generation of xbox. Its also not called Xbox 2, its just called "Xbox" and will have several different versions including "Series X" and a weaker, all digital version.

The new gen of PS and Xbox might be delayed cos many Chinese manufacturers can't work on time.

You know it takes a number of hw iteration before release for production run.
Then it takes while longer for factory tool.
Then it takes a +3 months for invetory build.

I think it's too early to say what effect it will have, but I'm going w/ you might find it harder to buy any consoles by end of year if the trend continues.

shouldn't really pay more than $400 with gen 2 approaching, even consider used for $250/$300 if seller has receipt for warranty
