    • Jack is back
    • Can't search
    • No deals identified
    • "Eligible" items only

    Sounds like eBay

    • +21

      Agreed.
I really, REALLY wish eBay would create a search function for each of their deals…

      • +7

The easy way to do it is:
        1. In the search bar, type the product you are looking for.
        2. Click the sort button and change to 'Price and postage highest first'.

    • +2

Plus you can't stack the $5 eBay Plus voucher they give you with this one, wasted again.

    • -3

      Can't search

Good! It means you won't just have lazy people rock up and snag all of the deals.

      • This is called price discrimination in text books.

        • -1

No it's not. One retailer is not giving different prices to different people. Different retailers are giving different prices so the people who spend the time to find the best price are rewarded.

          • +1

@p1 ama: Coupon/Voucher is a typical price disctimination approach. Do not forget that eBay stores runs differently from the traditional ones. This is not a typical price discrimination but it does fit the broad definition.

          • @p1 ama: Price discrimination is an economic term. It doesn't have to be about particular categories of people, it can be about favouring the more price sensitive customers who are willing to take the extra effort of applying a coupon.

    AMD Ryzen 3700X $454

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/AMD-Ryzen-7-3700X-8-Core-Socket-…

Hmmmm. Fairly standard sale price these days.

    • How do you check if this item is compatible with this discount code? Is the only way to add to cart and try to apply code? Or is there a better way? Genuine question…

      • +2

Using the eBay website (not an app) it shows the discount on the page under the price. Don't even have to add to cart.

        • Cheers, missed that.

    • -1

if this is a standard price, why are you posting it?….

      • standard sale price

You complainers are crazy, first world problems are real on this site.

    • +10

mate we're going third world - we are in a downward spiral - cost of fires - over 20 billion - and climbing.

coal is a dirty word everywhere else but oz - because the Australian pollies of both parties are trying to save themselves.

China has relegated us to the shitpile, again courtesy of the Australian liberal party and their blind adherence to yank instructions.

America has taken away a lot of our big business as a result. The future is lit up by fire.

PS my figure don't include human lives because ozzies are worthless to the America first pollies

      • -6

See, that's what makes you mad. Get over it

      • -3

Try living in a third world then come back and let me know how hard you have it in Australia, snow flake!

Coal isn’t dirty btw. Coal is the future!

        • -1

easy to see why a billion dead animals SO FAR has made us the focus of world attention, and comments like the above make us all seem like dumb uncaring trash…..

          • @petry: Seems SmokeMo opened his colon again and let another one loose

    ebayplus is a scam

    • +4

Ohh, Thanks for reminding me to cancel my Plus membership.

    • +1

I don't think ebay plus is a scam but YMMV depending on how you use ebay, I have gotten my money back on postage and offers probably saved $250 Dec-Jan alone.. actually more, I price matched 2 items for $130 voucher then 15% offed the items balance for another $150 odd so I'm well ahead with ebay plus.

But yes, the eligible items bollocks is a pain to find deals but still worth it for the aha, gotcha moment.
