Update: Was asked to remove, store chaos, sold out yesterday

Was just shopping for my wife a new phone and dropped into the good guys Chadstone to have a look at some Xiaomi. The sales guy said as S20 is coming out they are offering the S10 range for zero dollars as long as you sign up to Telstra $65, 60gB plan for 12 months, I thought it sounded a bit dodgy but turned out to be legit. This is how it works, Telstra are offering a $400 gift card to port in from another carrier, the good guys are reducing the outright phones to $400 and then using the gift card (if you want) to have a zero cost phone. My wife got the S10+, happened to be when they pulled it out to be the 512mb version instead of the 128mb

So effectively you are getting the S10 / + for $720 $780 over 12 months, 60gb plan.

They had perhaps 10-15 of S10 available, I believe only a couple of S10+

          You only pay for a house on the day of settlement, which means that once that has happened the house is yours.

          Except for if there are tenants in it and you haven’t worked something out with them prior to give you vacant possession.

    I was offered a similar deal on a Galaxy Note 10 last weekend from JB Hifi (Maroochydore) … 12 month Telstra $65 plan on a zero cost phone after applying a rebate from Telstra. It was offered as a “Today only” deal, offered when I enquired about the out of stock TCL $249 bargain phone from last week. The Note 10 (squarish) look & feel don’t appeal to me, nor does evil Telstra or ‘today only’ deals. I didn’t post this deal as JB would have been closed by the time I got home.     This deal is still worth a positive if telstra n gg gives 400 each gc. So 800 gc can go towards any phones in store.

    Sounds like a good deal. Would buy the S10 for $400, but I don't want that plan - I pay $150/year for mine and it's fine, the extra plan costs kill the deal for me.

    Good guys are clearing these and have very little left looking for 1 last week however Optus agreed to pay for s20 instead long story but was told of this last week…last November good guys were doing free oppo on $45 Telstra plan 12 months must be other network not Telstra

    About 25 ozbargainers just got turned down from the Chadstone store because they sold out yesterday. Good Guys claim the deal was store specific, good luck if you can find this elsewhere

    Ahah one of the managers claimed she informed OP that it was store specific and that they had run out of stock yesterday. Had a decent queue of 20 off people drove 40 mins to get here 3rd at 9:30. Oh well was worth a try lol

    Just left the Maribyrnong store. The only deal they have for the $65/month for 12 month plan is to get an iPhone XR 128GB for $399 or the 256GB for $549.
    They have no idea about the Chadstone Samsung S10 deal.
    Looks like the OP was lucky. Everyone else should just save time and not bother.
