Can you use this to port out number from other network

    • should be ok for most cases.

Yep you can, I transferred a couple of my numbers from Vaya to these prepaid sims the other day. The process took about 10-15 minutes to transfer over in my case.

Very convenient because you don't need starter credit to change over. Great for holding your lesser used numbers until some cheap prepaid deals come up.

      • thanks, just finished optus contract and want to port it out, so you can still receive sms and calls right even without charging?

        • Yep, should be fine

      • to confirm… can port in to this… with no credit on the telstra sim?

        then ya can port out?

        • Yes.

Though for me, the porting out took quite a while. Not sure if that was Telstra's fault or the new provider's(TPG).

    • i tried to port from postpaid and failed

  • never received it last time. Forgot all about it.

Don't think these can be sent via Parcel Locker

    • They use Startrack so you are right, you can't :)

    • I've ordered one to my parcel locker before. YMMV though

  • Greedy telco's are tightening up all the times. Old Telstra prepay used to work in cheap Boost phones but new ones do not!

  • Forgive my ignorance, what's the difference between the two?

    Can I claim both?
