Looks like ozbargain should start a new website just for toilet rolls deals

  • +18

    stupid

  • +40

This isn’t really funny and it’s not even a great deal.

    • +14

I'm with you; the linked site doesn't show any discount, and it is apparently a back-order so not currently available.

    • +3

Agree, not funny. This whole toilet paper thing is ridiculous.

However, as for a deal. At Coles its $10 for 20 rolls. Or $20 for 40 rolls. So you do get 5 extra rolls here.

      • +2

BigW have a 36 pack for $14. Which is cheaper if my crappy math is correct.

        • There is NO stock!!!

  • Usually dispatched within 2 to 5 weeks.

    • +40

      Sh*t, I can't hold that long!

    • Yes, I ordered yesterday but received in email to say it would be delivered by 9/3/2020 to 10/3/2020

      • +15

        Eighteen thousand year backorder.

Edit - you fixed the date. It's no longer 10/03/20202

      • +1

Actually just received my order today. Great service from Amazon!

        • +1

Same! great stuff 2 x 45 pack! Good price! All you suckers saying it's sh*t deal n pis$ing on it good luck driving everywhere to find any! HA

  • is this the cheaper ever?

    • +2

No, it regularly drops to $17.50

      • +4

Thanks to stupid ppl, don't think chances of getting it down to $17.50 any time soon lol

        • I thought that until I saw the ColesWorth 1/2 price deals being posted …

        • +4

It'll be cheaper in 2 months time when they manufacture too much because of the demand, but everyone will have surplus.

  • +4

    $17.49 is lowest in past

  • +36

Not a deal. Just wait a month when this nonsense will die down and our shelves will be restocked with shit that gets made in South Australia 24/7.

    • +7

But I don’t want to die down

      • You like to die up?

  • +2

It is a good price. I'll get some just for that reason.

    Max 2 per person.

  • +43

FFS i feel sorry for the people that legitimately have run out and can't find any.

    • +5

aye. We had 2 rolls left with a 1 & 4 yo who love to shit on the hour every hour! haha we had to go to 3 different shopping centres to finally snag a pack of 20!

      • +5

got a 10 8 and 4 … they dont shit as often but love to use half a roll each time! .. cant find any (pun intended) anywhere in the hills area (sydney)… just pathetic .. sick of this stupidity

        • Hahaha! Gotta be a comfy wipe even if it's for a split second

          • @ExtraSalt: Hahahaha can't say I haven't been guilty of that

        • hahaha, garden hose comes handy some times.

      • +4

My 3yo had a few sheets in one hand and the rest of the roll in the other. Due to a brain malfunction she threw the roll in the toilet :p

    • +4

If my local is anything to go by, they've resorted to using napkins.

Save a little sympathy for the sewer workers who are going to have to deal with all the blockages caused by this

    • +1

De javu with baby formula, housing market, honey (especially Manuka which some are more than double in price), what else?

Yeah for a free market. Not really….

    • Yeah everyone at work was saying, f**k i need to check if i have enough to last out the week.

  • +7

No bargain.. 20$ is normal. Comes down to 17.50 every couple of weeks.

  • +13

    part of the problem.

    • +20

This. This website is encouraging this behaviour.

      Sick of this rubbish.

About time mods show consistency and remove obvious spam and troll posts.

  • Amazon very nice you can order max of 2 free shipping ( just over the $39 )
Going at least 100% more than normal prices in the short term on the open market :)
Clue it will be very shortly lived with all producers going full throttle with production .

  • +29

You's are all late to the party, these were $13.50 on prime back in July 2019 and I still have a stockhold of them since then, and I shit alot and always wipe properly.
    Folder not Scruncher 👌

    • +1

for some reason your post cannot be upvoted

  • +1

This toilet paper crap is (profanity) annoying. We genuinely need toilet paper and can't find it anywhere.

    • +1

Way better than kleenex where your finger goes all the way into your bumhole.

      • Thanks i feel better knowing that! I thought it was just me

    • ask your neighbour?

    • Try the lesser known little IGA-24/7 spots. I found those places seem to be neglected. It's mostly numpty's going to coles/woolies

    • They get replenished every morning apparently, try then.

  • +10

No bargain, don't encourage this mindless mob mentality s$!t

  • +2

This is dumb. Had been the going rate on Amazon when it's not on special.

  • Can't add to cart.

  • +1

In this current climate it's a good deal.

    • +4

People don't take into account time wasted TRYING to find a pack . Not sophisticated enough I guess .

      • +1

This is on backorder. No idea when you'd actually get this. Likely when the increased production from the local factories kick in next week and this is easily available from your local. So yeah, still a trash deal.

  • cant buy.. arrrrghhghghghg

  • +4

In the news next week: Oversupply of toilet paper on sale

  • +1

My local dealer sells these for $250…good deal!

  • +2

Wow didn't think there would be such a backlash to posting something at its cheapest current price and delivered too when it can take driving to multiple shopping centres and fighting crowds to get, and even out of stock on pretty much every site.

    • -6

OzBargain - not Oz cheapest current price

      • +9

The front page has The Witcher 3, Nintendo Switch Pro controller, CocaCola packs etc as their cheapest current price when it's not the lowest ever.
If you're going to argue that point most of the things posted are not deals.

        • +1

depends whether it's still considered a bargain or not. It can still be a bargain even if not the lowest ever, if the lowest ever only happens once in a blue moon. Normal going price… not so much.

          • +2

@lostn: You can compare lowest ever prices all you want but the reality is that it's out of stock most places. It also takes extra time and fuel driving to multiple supermarkets to possible get this. I think it's a pretty good deal to have something delivered to you, especially of this size, and not have to deal with it.

      • +1

Oz current cheapest price = ozbargain.

We are not Oz lifetime lowest price. All these new users jeez.

  • +3

    Not a special price.

  • +6

Cant see the bargain over here, we should stop encouraging this panicked behaviour.

    • Is buying 1 pack panicked behaviour?
The reality is, if you haven't bought something you will not have any within a week. My issue with this deal is the Back Order. If you buy it now at this price you get it who knows when, and once the oversupply kicks in, you've probably paid overs and the virus hasn't even been in your neighbourhood.

      • I ordered when it was back order and I received mine today when they emailed most (if not all) orders be sent by next week. Amazon back order estimates are not very accurate. You tend to get them way before

  • +4

    Not even a deal….

  • +2

Not a deal. No surprises. When will this stupidity end?

  • +5

    Paper get your paper sheeple.

  • +5

I wonder why people don't use bidet? problem solved.

  • +3

Average price and on back order……just encouraging the idiotic herd mentality.

    • If a hurricane of toilet paper hoarder's clear all the dunny paper away .
Search toilet paper on Ebay top product is a single roll sold 12 times at $10 delivered lol .
45 rolls for $20 is a bargain hence out of stock lol .

      • +1

"Usually dispatched within 2 to 5 weeks."

You're paying an average price (I previously bought this same listing for $17.50) and you could receive it mid-April… There is no bargain here.

  • +2

When the last desperate survivor brutally vanquishes the second last survivor in an epic duel over a roll of toilet paper, will the victor reflect on what the point of it all was?

    • +1

      Correction:

      Free use from newspaper.

That reminds me that in many parts of the world, they reuse old newspapers or anything made of paper for this purpose. I'd better remove the "No Junk Mails" sign from my mailbox. These community newspapers and shop catalogues will come in handy one day.

    • +2

that shit doesn't flush. Don't do it.

  • +5

Everyone who upvoted should have their ozb badge removed.

    • -4

Right if you bothered checking the market it currently 100% selling over normal prices minimum :)
Those that cleared their stocks get a medal in my books :)

  • +1

    Wow…out of stock….no shit?
Get your revenge and buy Kimberly-Clark shares!

  • +6

I have never credited the majority of people as being intelligent and this type of sheep mentality just proves it.

  • who is stocking toilet paper?

  • +2

If it was available now with a limit of 1 per account I might have let it slide, but this is just Amazon being a "troll"!
    No deal.

  • +1

    20/45=0.444

39c/roll @ woolworths, assuming you can get it.

  • +3

This is not a bargain… is a waste of digital paper…

  • +1

    Commment for negativity.
    Price jack

  • +1

Look how many people are willing to pay $95 for 60 rolls of toilet paper.

    • Seller almost doubled price in just 2 days..

    • removed?

  • +2

wow..I have never seen such a close ratio between +/- votes for a deal!!

    • …Will soon overtake EBay discount code posts as the most polarising topic ;-)
