This is nearly a 2 year old phone.

My opinion, I'd rather the 7.2. It's a similar spec sheet: same SoC, same RAM, more storage, upgraded cameras, slightly bigger screen (has a notch though). But its main advantage would simply be that it's newer, so it will have a longer timescale of Android updates from now.

At HN, It's $56 more than the 7 Plus however. Maybe you can price match at Officeworks.

    • Are the specs right the 7.2 only charges at 2A/10W Max?

      • Correct.

Not worth paying for Nokia 7 plus now, even at $300. Better specs phone out there

Picked up a Nokia 7.2 from The Good Guys (Kawana Waters) today, got them to price match and bring the price down to $399. Will get updates until at least September 2021. Bargain!

  • 7.2 or xiaomi 9T?

The only reason to get the Nokia is the SD card slot.

The N5.1+ in our house still on Android 9, the Xiaomi got Android 10 Dec-Jan.

      • What model Xiaomi got the Android 10 update?

My Mi A2 got it also around Christmas, two months before the Nokia 6.1,

but at least the Nokia got it at the end of it's 2 yr update schedule.

Thanks, picked it up for $379 at Officeworks (price beat). Good price for Android One with a couple years of updates.

    • I'm thinking of going for this over the 9T for the updates and the better finger print reader, but the 9T is tempting.

At 180g the 7.2 is a heavy bulky phone once in a case, 6.2 the same. I came from a 160g Nokia 8 and the extra 20g makes a big difference to the feel in pocket. The Pixel 3A XL is lighter at 167g even with the bigger 3700mAh battery.

Mi 9T that's blowing up in the other thread is 191g, so these are light in comparison.

I paid $399 for the 7+ back in april last year.
Updates have been regular and the phone is solid.

  • For those that missed price beating at OW for the Nokia 7.2, the cheapest now is at The Good Guys eBay, $390.40 Free C&C ($5.26 Delivery to NSW) using "PGGUYS20" 20% off TGG eBay code

  • Paid nearly $450 for Nokia 7 plus a year ago. Never had any issues with software or hardware, running on Android 10 with latest updates now, just a no-nonsense smartphone! Looking at spec, N7.2 looks a better option now.

  • Xiaomi Mi A3 is on Dick Smith for $289 and I'd say it's better than the 7.2.
