9545

Hello, fellow Ozbargainer's! My name is Zac Kaplan.

A few months ago we launched our website cheaperdelivered.com, an Australian business selling subscription-based products, we utilise the benefits of combined shipping, bulk buying and concentrated products to pass on massive savings to our customers.

I would like to post out our toilet paper, we have plenty of stock and have not increased the prices to gouge consumers as other online toilet paper stores have done.
https://cheaperdelivered.com/product/premium-recycled-48-rol…

You will find on our website that you can make orders and, if we do run out you can place a back-order and have it confirmed within 3 days (it is very likely to be confirmed), we are charging $0.25 (twenty-five cents!) per hundred sheets of toilet paper https://cheaperdelivered.com/product/premium-recycled-48-rol…, you get a $6 discount if you pick up the toilet paper from our office in Melbourne CBD (call/email for details on pickup). At 23 cents per 100 sheets, we have the 700 sheet roll also https://cheaperdelivered.com/product/premium-recycled-48-rol…

Our prices are highly competitive, especially when compared to eBay/Who Gives A Crap/Amazon/Coles (for recycled)
All of our toilet paper is environmentally friendly and most are recycled

Products will be posted within 1-2 days and we use couriers please and Australia post for delivery, delivery times may vary but typically it's 1-5 days.

Our super concentrated washing powder can be purchased with our toilet paper only, it's at an incredible price $0.25 per 100g (equals 500g of regular washing powder)
https://cheaperdelivered.com/product/100-concentrated-washin…

Our razors are also worth a mention as we have some of the lowest prices on razors as well as Australia's first 7 bladed razor

All prices on the site are regular prices and will remain the same for at least 6 months

50% of all our profits go towards WaterAid https://www.wateraid.org/au/

Please like and share us on facebook https://www.facebook.com/cheaperdelivered
Please contact us if you notice any bugs/glitches/typo's/mistakes/production errors on the website please pass it onto us constructively! We are a new store

Normal price, not a deal, and very expensive for TP.

    • -3

please take a look at our competitors, we are cheaper than them all, you need to factor in the delivery when comparing it to coles but even then on recycled paper we are still cheaper, thanks for your feedback anyway!

      • +8

please take a look at our competitors, we are cheaper than them all,

Funny how u didn't reply to a previous coment about how it's cheaper at another company.

        • +1

That's because it isn't! It's been fairly well documented in this thread that the postal costs push the price higher than what the OP's business is selling them for. What's cheaper? A book for $10 plus $2 postage or a book for $11 and free postage! You even responded with a quip about being prepared!

  • +11

OP is pretty responsive and not making a joke of it

    +1 from me

    • It's his business, why would he be making a joke out of it?

      • The whole toilet paper shortage thing

  • +1

Well … if I dont get any dunny rolls in the next two days due to stoopid hoarders clearing up stocks the minute they put in aisles, I'm going to bite the bullet and order this

    • +4

^ afree and use common sense guys. If you *almost run out of stock and still demand for a discount, your option is limited and pull the trigger. If you found somewhere cheaper (thanks for whoever found it and gives a high five or + to them) then buy it there.
Otherwise go to other options: bidet, xiaomi etc

Yes OP sounds advertisement (thats right he succeed - I never heard this company before), but at least I know I still have a backup of backup plans

  • I went to my local shops in Perth and toilet paper supply is already making its way back onto the shelves.

  • +13

    Ahh, the current national stupidity.

    Not even cheap.

    The irony

  • +9

What proof do you have that your Chinese toilet paper is recycled?

They can't seem to trust their own baby formula.

  • +5

This company makes Australian recycled toilet paper: http://icarepaper.com.au/

  • +2

Front page spelling mistake - "Good for yor wallet"

  • +2

Hey here’s an ad for you.

  • +11

Another product straight from Alibaba / Aliexpress. So many importers (including whogivesacrap) doing this, just with different levels of marketing.

    • -1

I certainly understand that perspective, but what I can say having looked at the Alibaba option, it's much better going through existing wholesalers, Alibaba has horrific quality control and assurance, even if you use their platform, it's very difficult, and takes months, we, on the other hand, went through, found a Neish and decided to offer the service.

  • +9

http://naturale.com.au/ This toilet paper is sold at both Woolworths and Coles and the normal price is less than this deal (22c per 100sheets). I often see it on sale for even less. It purports to be 100% recycled, and made in Australia. What am I missing?

    • It’s not delivered?

      • Woolworths and Coles deliver

    • I used to buy that regularly. Coles also have a home brand that is cheap and recycled, not sure where it’s made though…

  • +7

Supermarkets might be selling out quickly but from what I've heard from manufacturers they're not at any risk of running out of toilet paper anytime soon, it's just a matter of getting it out to the shops. Wouldn't call this a deal at all, and the fact that you just joined and haven't bothered posting in the past highlights that it's more an ad than a deal.

    • what's worse could be a Domino effect.
The people who weren't hoarders clearing out shelves, will likely be grabbing extras where/when they can.

  • +2

    Where's the bargain?

  • +2

No bargain. Move along, nothing to see here.

  • +2

    Not a bargain.

  • +1

    You struck gold, good luck.

  • +2

I'm with many others, this isn't a deal.

  • +5

The TP crisis is a good example of of fragile civilisation is and how easily a small percentage of morons can ruin it for everybody.
If you know someone that bought bulk TP you should question your friendship.
It won't be Nazis or Alien invasion, or Russian election interfere that destroys us, it will be the stupid people that walk among us every day.

    • At least we'll have Pr0n right, Bangbus?

  • +9

$1 per roll? No thanks. This is just taking advantage of the current situation. This is not a deal.

  • +3

Toilet paper made from China. And we have the seller guaranteeing they're virus free.

What a time to be alive and checking out ozbargain for scum exploiting people's fears and trying to make a profit.

    Reported. In 3..2..1.

  • +2

    Wipe this off the site

  • +3

Agreed with all of the other negatives, not a bargain, normal price for this specific product/brand. While some may find it useful from a 'finding stock' perspective, it's still just an ad, not a deal.

  • +3

Multiple manufacturers in Australia. Stock will be available in supermarkets, once they can catch up with demand.
I see no reason to buy toilet paper made in china.
    Support Australian manufacturing.

  • +1

Not even a bargain. Get off the website. Ozbargain is only for bargains

  • +3

Everyone is shitting themselves over the coronavirus. Funny enough you can literally go on to coles/woolies etc websites and buy toilet at normal prices if you really need some. No bargain here.

  • +2

Not a bargain at all! Try expensive. com perhaps. Bandwagon jumper

  • +1

    Made in China

  • +6

Not discounted, not a deal. Just cashing in on the situation created by stupid people.

  • +4

Firstly the claim that no recycled toilet paper is made in Aus is BS. Both icare and safe are both 100% recycled and Australian made.

Secondly there is definitely argument to be made about buying something like toilet paper all the way from china sent on a dirty ship vs buying virgin toilet paper made in Australia from sustainable new growth forests.

Safe can be had on special for cheaper than this price per roll.

  • +2

No bargain - what a rip off for TP

  • +3

    This is pathetic.
Stop trying to monetize the panic of others.

  • Recycled ? So who used the tissue before? I'd prefer if it was used locally.

    • Hey this loo paper clocked over 7,000 KMs to get here! 🤣

  • $1 per roll and you call it a bargain? Seriously?

    • +2

They are double length rolls. But still no way I’d pay that for an unknown imported product.

  • Guessing delivery won't occur over the long weekend in VIC?

  • +1

    Not a bargain

  • +3

Not a bargain, not even locally made to justify the price. Good try tho

  • +3

    Shite smelly deal!

  • +2

OP only has a limited opportunity to capitalize on the shortage before the flood of over production hits .
Ozbargainer's not supports the capitalist system lol .

    • Really? Bargain shopping is the definition of capitalism.

    • We were in business well before this shortage which is why we have not jacked up our prices

  • +1

    Cheaper elsewhere, not a bargain

  • +1

God I wished I didn't have only 51 rolls of toilet paper left at home how will I ever survive :)

This is just as bad a war profitering

  • +5

I'd sooner waffle stomp than pay this for TP

  • +1

Not a bargain, if you want a bargain see #Toiletpapergate

No deal. Just Australian made hysteria.

  • +4

we utilise the benefits of combined shipping, bulk buying and concentrated products to pass on massive savings to our customers.

    I lol'ed.

    More like

"we capitalise on current affairs, combined with hysteria from media to price gouge as much as we can from customers!"

  • Went down to my major shopping center , Aldi , Woolworth's totally out . The employee in the row at Coles said they had supplies at 1PM and gone in minutes .

  • +2

    Cashing in on demand/shortage isn't a bargain

    • -2

We are cheaper and better than who gives a crap who themselves have entirely run out, so it's still a bargain by far

      • Si?

  • +5

    48$ are you crazy. I got 48 rolls 3ply for 17$ why would I pay 48$?

  • +5

Profiteering on bullshit groupthink panic buying. You’re not welcome here.

  • An error occurred while calling the PayPal API.

    • -3

hi mate, please give us a call on the website, some people have been having this issue but I believe we fixed it, check your emails also I'll send you the invoice and you can click "pay now"

  • -1

Please note, if you get a "paypal api error" you will get an email soon after with a link where you can pay for it, paypal now is having some issues with the subscription model so we recommend you use stripe.

A headsup to everyone, something fishy here, I get a strange error message "No such source: src_1GJdoeLPzDAYXzNsqOKA2u2c" after provide my creditcard details and the page doesn't change anything.

    • Hi mate thanks for posting that! I'm on it now, because we have had so many people visit the site our cart wasn't able to handle everyone at once and something broke, I'll post as soon as it's fixed

      • I am concerned that my card details are saved and would be harvested for fraud, can you please clarify on this.

        • -1

Mate there's no "harvesting" of your credit card for fraud in any way shape or form, your credit card details are secure and protected by SSL security, there's no leaking that's going on of your details, it is entirely safe, if you try the payment again (I recommend on a desktop) it will go through and your package will arrive by the end of the week. Thank you

  • I've enjoyed watching this post. Right now it has 92 vote ups, 43 negs and 2635 clicks to his site.
Despite all the negs he now has so many orders his website order processing is overloaded. Supply and demand in action!

    • -1

The issue seems to be when people make orders on their phones so if you wish to make an order please use a desktop

    Shameless opportunism

    • -1

Hi mate, our prices are in fact lower than our nearest competitor who gives a crap and we have been in business for the last 6 months, so please understand there's no opportunism here, we are simply posting the fact that we have not raised our prices, we have free shipping, and we have stock
