First time i've seen a 2tb USB 3.0 hard drive for this price. Only downside is this will come with a US plug, so an adapter will be needed!

$116.21 ($78.15 + $38.06) including shipping using Amazon's Currency Converter to charge in AUD).
I charged it as USD to my 28 degrees card so it'll probably end up more like $112.41 (US$79.99 + US$38.96 = US$118.95 @ $1.058 USD/AUD Conversion at time of posting)

First post, so please be nice!

Officeworks have had their 2Tb Western Digital My Books at $114 for a while now. These support USB3.0 and won't require importing.

    • much better!

  • From the item comments:

"I just realized that this external HDD has no power switch."

Which would annoy me a bit.
Good price, shame the shipping is so high. $38 from the US seems a bit pricey, surely they could do better.

  • hmm i bought this with a kindle and it ended up being $313.94:
Item(s) Subtotal: US$268.99 ($79.99 for the hard drive + 189.00 for the kindle)
    Shipping & Handling: US$44.95
    Total: US$313.94

Not sure why the shipping is so expensive for just the hard drive alone.
    Kindle only = USD 189.00 + USD 20.98 = USD 209.98
    Hard Drive only = USD 79.99 + USD 38.96 = USD 118.95
If bought seperately = $328.93 meaning $15 more expensive if you were to order them seperately.

now im thinking whether to cancel my order and get a local one from OW instead!

    • http://www.amazon.com/Western-Digital-Essential-Desktop-Exte… around $105 shipped vs $114
i actually got this one for $93 shipped (cheaper shipping) for more than 3 weeks wait from 5 august to 24 august :)

      • how did you get it shipped!
•Western Digital My Book Essential 2 TB USB 3.0/2.0 Desktop External Hard Drive cannot be shipped to the selected address.

        • it shows in my cart, my address is in Australia, it goes through

  • http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/51832 should of got that when it was in stock

  • Compared to the other 2TB hard drives floating around latley I just find this a bit pricey…
