Really good price, quality isn't bad and works out of box Android TV and is quiet responsive

Dear all TVs over the size of like 40 inches, please include a minimum of 4 or 5 HDMIs, it would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

    • +1

How does size even factor into that.
And what the hell are you plugging into it? Admittedly 4 is useful, though less for integrated Chromecast.
…. Console (s), some kind of box, extra for laptop… What else you got

Well you gotta figure the bigger the TV, the more likely it's a main TV.

And mains have more stuff in them than secondaries.

My bedroom tele alone has a PS4, Xbone, Switch, and an NVIDIA Shield hogging up the 3 HDMIs (and the +1 on the back of the Xbox). The shelf under the tele has a fat PS3 and 360 as well (2 more), a cutesy lil PS Classic which doesn't get used that much but still that's 7 things right there. And until September I had Foxtel in the bedroom as well hogging up another one.

My god damn kitchen TV (which admittedly is about 15 years old now) only has one HDMI and I mostly stick to using older stuff with AVs on it, so I have one of those modern Mega Drive consoles hooked up through AV and a Wii through component cable (oh (profanity), I forgot I lent my Wii U to a mate to play BotW a while back, I would usually also have that in the bedroom too so there's another.

Hmm now that you mention it, my tv has all 4 slots full and I had to get another tv for older consoles. I never sick my switch though…

Changed my mind, TV's need 6

Dear my old tv please kill yourself i need an excuse to replace you.

    • +1

Do you know someone who is struggling financially that you could donate your old tv to? Not only do you get to buy a new tv, but you gain a +10 speechcraft perk “The Gift of Charity”…

I'm starving and can't afford food

        Chimot: here's a tv

          Or
I get to choose to eat or upgrade my tech

I know you’re joking but I used to volunteer with plenty of people who still use set top boxes and crt TVs because they have the fun of choosing to eat or upgrading their tech. In fact when my disability was at its worst my situation wasn’t that dissimilar to those that I volunteered with and it certainly brightened my day when I was given a TV that a lot of tech types would turn their noses up at.

@mapax: I agree. We give plenty of stuff away that we could easily sell secondhand. It's much more satisfying to give it away to someone who appreciates it.

  • Does anyone know whether this will work for Atmos Soundbar or not? Something like Samsung Q90?

    • +1

I have this tv and Samsung Q90r, works like charm with ARC.

  • +5

If this is the 75P8MR, make sure its got Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision. Else you'll be buying the previous version P8M which does not have the features.

    • It lists P8MR in the ad

      • +1

But not in the Product detail description. A little misleading. I would say it's the P8M, no mention of DV or DA.

    • It shows yes on the TGG website.

      TCL 75P8MR

The title also only PM8, but the subtitle is 75P8MR.

      • EBay product model specifically says MPN: 75P8M

Yeah watched a youtube review last night.

  • +1

    Thanks Ops. I got one.

  • is this better than the samsung ru7100 that was like 1400 for 75 inch

    • From previous deal comments, i say yes.

  • Is this TV based on a QLED panel or just a conventional LED panel?

  • +3

Price appearing as $1595 before discount, so even with 20% off can't get it down to price here. Did GG lift the price?

    • They did indeed

    • Called store and they said $1295 was a one day special deal…. Which was never mentioned by them…well, at least I can save my money now

      • I went in-store last week of Feb to ask if they could give same price as 2nd week of Feb when 65" TCL model was $760(same price at jb-hifi and harvey-norman) and they said it was discounted by the manufacturer themselves for only few days as TGG would have lost money if they discounted it any further. This one day special was probably the same thing.

aaah sh#t i was going to pull the trigger last night ! wake up this morning and its gone up in price !

    • +2

      Me too, mate

      • +2

Wait a month. Might come again around Easter as this discount is given to TGG by the manufacturer themselves. Confirmed it in-store.

        • thanks for the info.

        • yeah but the 20% off coincided with the one day sale which was $1295 ! i dont think you will get thar again ! appliance central have it now for $100 extra ! might go with that

  • Will this TV legs fits a 160cm table?
