    Considering this in't an 'Associate' post; I'm going to ask here: What mattresses are actually GOOD?
    I like the Purple matress from the USA< but the price after shipping is bogus.

    I see ads for 'sleeping duck', but they seem to just be clever at marketing; they don't explain WHY they're good.
    Someone in their comments says its "worlds better than their old Koala" but then you read Koala reviews and people RAVE about them!

    I'm looking for a mattress that's fairly firm (I'm over 100kg, but not much).
    Do people think I'm better off going for 'very firm' and adding a memory foam topper?

    I dunno, it's one of those things where I imagine "It's a bed, you sleep on it, whoop de doo" but then I wonder, how can they market it so well if it's groundless.
    Purple makes sense; they're literally a honeycomb design designed for wheelchairs to prevent bed-sores; but upsized.

    But the rest? I'm really lost…..

      My experience is solely on this mattress at size queen. I thought I’d give you my option on this product.

      This mattress does not extend to the edge of the base of the mattress.
      This mattress appears to be on the thicker end.
      This mattress although “firm” does not feel firm.

      But I've had a Sleeping Duck for six years, the Firm King size. It is firm. I still love it; I'm 98kg, 188cm. They have a 100 night sleep guarantee too so you can try ait and if you don't like it send it back at no cost. The Firm is consistently rated very highly. It might feel too firm at first, but it's amazingly supportive and you'll quickly realise the benefit of a firm mattress. The benefit of these mattresses (and the other two brands below and many others) is that they use pocket springs that allow them to provide more support and better comfort.

    Got The double, it felt really firm , hand press, however to sleep on its firm but not rock hard

    Would love to know this compared to Koala or Sleeping Duck

    Always had a hardly normal sealy over $1k for Queen Sized

    Heard lots of ads about sleeping duck. One that even says they’re blah blah massive discount over other brands?! But when I looked I saw they were over $1k as well

    So confused

      Im lucky enough to be near the "makin matresses" store; so i think im gonna go try a bunch.

      Then kogan have a memory foam topper for under $100.

      I think an 'extra firm' with a sinky-layer would be bliss.

    I've the king. Great quality. Great price. Edge is a little soft but doesn't bother me. Firmness is on the firm side (I would have liked it a bit softer). The cushion top is nice…

      I own three of these mattresses (1 King, 1 Queen and 1 King Single). The oldest is nearly a year old. All 3 in perfect condition. No complains, jut good night sleeps
      You must be really unlucky or you're just advertising for other mattress seller

    Bought 2 single last year model. Pretty good mattress. Don’t bother buying sleeping duck one for 1000$ more pretty much the same. If your picky about what you sleep on then coff up the big bucks cos ur gona feel better about spending a fortune on a mattress thinking it’s going to be better but really these are just as good for ppl that aren’t to fussy and wouldn’t have a problem sleeping on a couch.

    Used to have Sealy and then bought the Super firm one king size, thinking why would I spend another $2000.
    I am 79kg 186cm, so never considered myself as over-weight until I used this. After a month of use, my side of bed is saggy. My missus's side is fine.

    Don't really recommend this brand to anyone.

      i weight 30KG more that u and been sleeping on one for a year.. no real sag at all.. u must of just got a bad egg or perhaps the bigger mattress arent made as well.. Contact the seller and claim warranty.. they'll probably flick you a new one.
