If you’re the owner of a Samsung Galaxy S II and you’ve got a working Wi-Fi connection available, you can download Gameloft’s new release Asphalt 6 right now from the Samsung Apps application which comes pre-installed on all Samsung Galaxy S II devices.

The download is a hefty 560MB+ and must be downloaded over a Wi-Fi connection. Other than that, it’s a fairly awesome game with intense graphics for a phone game. Anyway, I need to go play it for a while.. Enjoy!

EDIT : As GuniGuGu Pointed out you can download the actual app from Samsung App Store now( about 6Mb) and go home and download the gamedata (563.66Mb) using Wifi.

EDIT2 : As belgaron noted Game also available on the Xperia Play preloaded presumably from the google search I did

    FYI: You can download the app now (only 6mb) and download the gamedata (~500 mb) later (ie. when you're at home)… so you don't miss out…

    are you sure other phone cannot download ? how they know which device is downloading ?

      dunno if other phones can't but it does say Samsung Galaxy S II when you go to the samsung app store on your phone

      Even if it does download it wouldn't work on other phones due to the different chipset. Unless you're rooted and have chainfire3d installed.

          probably the download is hardware restricted.

      After installation and at first launch, the app checks for a license, saying my sg2 has an invalid license, and then proceed to download a valid one. So I assume there's a process to go through to verify your phone.

    I gave it a quick shot and it is alright – it looks good and is very polished, although gameplay is nothing spectacular – but at the current price it is a very worthy download! :P

          sort of but driving using the phone as the steering wheel on a larger screen is pretty awesome. Yes the Wii does this with better res but fact that you're using a phone is more than enough.

        Yeah lots of them are labelled free, but are only 4 minute trials if you read the description.

        I am not getting updates from Vodafone. I am not sure but my phone is running on KE4 something and latest update that optus rolled out is KE7. I guess KE7 update has solved battery issue. I wanted to ask you Rod71, which version is installed on your handset and if it is KE7 then, is it solving battery issue or not. Without using phone much, I have to recharge it usually after 12-16 hrs.
