So the way I read the title at present is $1499 + bonus $200 cashback which would be $1299. But in reality it's $1699 plus $200 cashback. Just needs little tweak to be more clear thanks OP.

    • yep title should be updated to price before cashbacks

    • +7

OP can confirm this but the title is actually correct. During the promotion period (8pm-9pm) the item was listed as $1499 on the shopping express website, this does not include the $200 cash back. Which means this really was $1299 after cashback, before shipping/fees.

  • Nice price and specs. Ram = 16GB ? Check.

Should be $1351 after cashback from futu_online ebay tomorrow with code PMID20

    • How did you get to that price?

          Max $300.

Futu also not listed on Asus site as a participating retailer for $200 cashback

          • +4

@cheaplee: Futu is the same as shopping express and shallothead

They all trade under Kai Seng

@cheaplee: Agree with the $300 max discount but futu does advertise the cashback in the description. Should be $1439 after cashback tomorrow.

            • @crazynic: Suppose it depends what invoice says. Pretty hard to argue if they refuse to payout.

              • @cheaplee: Yep but it does qualify for the last condition whereby the seller is displaying material advertising this promotion

@crazynic: You can buy it at AU $1,595.10 at the moment at Futu(ebay), use PLUM10 code to get $150 more discount.

    • I asked them whether it's eligible for cashback if purchased on eBay, they said Asus notified them it's not so they now took down the banner.

No its part of the epic hour deal at the moment $1499 plus delivery, plus drive, plus additional $200 cashback..
    https://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/view/epic-hour/

    ends in a few minutes

  • There was $38+ delivery and insurance fee plus 1% payment surcharge.. so over $1550 .. not saving too much over the potential ebay offer tomorrow.. plus.. no pickup point

    • -1

The eBay offer tomorrow will be $1439 after cashback, so this is (was) still cheaper.

      • -1

This deal was $1499 after cashback…you can get it on ebay now for $1395.10 after cashback as per hothot's comment above

        • So why does it say $1499 on this page then? https://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/view/epic-hour/
The cashback is never factored into a shop's display price

          • @wangasm: Read the first comment above

            • +2

@crazynic: I did, it is wrong. If you check the price of the item right now it is $1699 which is the non promotional price hence why this deal is marked expired (It was only for 8pm-9pm). Unfortunately I was not here 2 hours ago so I cannot tell you whether it was really marked $1499 or $1699.

              • +1

@wangasm: Can confirm it was $1499 during the epic hour 8pm-9pm. Paid $1526 which will be $1326 after cashback.

Where do I start. Retina is an Apple term…. this is not an Apple product. 4k on a 14 inch screen, really? 4k drains a lot more battery. Show me something else with similar specs, quality materials and form factor that has a 4k touch screen at this price point.

  • A bit steep for a laptop without Thunderbolt 3
