  • price error deal

Don't really think it was an error

Can confirm that wasn't a price error. I bought two consoles for $300 each (using the Amex deal). And they are scheduled for delivery today.

I believe it was a price error that was honoured by Microsoft. It is not the first time reputable stores honour online price errors (e.g. Bunnings with DJI Mavic at a fraction of the market price). You can also tell that because it was not marked out of stock the next morning. They took the entire page off.

      • They just honoured your order, does not mean it was not an error.like Amazon always does in US

Except the burden of proof is for you to establish, i.e. it isn't a price error unless you can prove it is. From what I can see, Microsoft didn't send out an email to buyers explaining that it was a price error and that they will still honour the deal. Therefore we must assume it wasn't a price error, but instead a legit deal…

@RespectMyAuthoritar: Xbox’s own promo’s have always closely aligned with retailer promo’s. The $349 deal was almost certainly an error, as the listing page was completely removed not long after the deal was posted. The fact that they’re honouring it doesn’t mean it wasn’t an error, and doesn’t make it any less of a deal. I don’t know why you’re being so defensive.

          • @RespectMyAuthoritar: And if you need more proof, the paper invoice for my One X even says “Xbox One S”.

      • I received mine this morning in Canberra and the package label clearly said Xbox One S. I'm going to go with price error, but fortunate that they honoured it.

  • shouldn't pay over $400 now, even consider buying used $250-$300 under warranty

    • I see what you are doing there. Did you mean to say "unused"? ;-)

      • nah I mean used/2nd hand & what do you mean "I see what you're doing here" lol

        • I thought you were referring to the ones going up for sale in the next week or so (from people buying 2) ;-)

          • @Buy2Much: Lol nah, but you’re right might pick one of those up for $350 if someone’s looking for quick flip as the world collapses

  • It's a solid price but most should wait for the new line later this year(hopefully). It's backwards compatible and should push down the price of older gen consoles.

  • There is a very high likelihood that Series X will be delayed to next year due to the current happening in the world. Some reports even hinted that the initial price will be higher than expected. Supply chain has been interrupted for undetermined amount of time, so a lot of the electronic products due for release this year will get pushed back. I am guessing that there is less chance of getting big discounts on electronics during this year once stock has dried up and factories are not resupplying fast enough…
