Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Desktop Combo Set $105 at Officeworks

350

Have been looking to buy an ergonomic keyboard/mouse for a while. Went into Officeworks to bite the bullet and this scanned at lower than the advertised price. Checked the website and it looks like it has been reduced. The keyboard is taking a while to get used to!

Bought this during the boxing day (it was $125), and currently using it, but not the mouse.
Good keyboard, reduce the strain from my hands. But you will need time to adjust to the "sculpture" design.

Yeah, I've always loved ergo keyboards, love this one especially. But I also had to ditch the mouse. Like a true Oz-Bargainer I had to go MX Master 2S, natch.

      • Try the MX Ergo

  • Good Price!I have been using this for years and love it!
I bought this years back for over $150.

It’s a good ergonomic keyboard and this is one of the better prices for it

I miss those split keyboards. I learnt to touch type as a kid 15 years ago on one and it forced me to learn to type properly and keep many hands split.

    • So you learned to press the 6 key with your left hand? Yikes!

      • It helped force me to split my hands properly when typing and this discipline has helped even as I use normal keyboards now and naturally use the right hand/finger for most things (number row I think I may have delearned the muscle memory already).

  • Looking good. And separated number pad. I guess it's not a Bluetooth set?

      Mini receiver.

I loved my set, but just beware that if you break the USB dongle thing, you won't be able to just buy another one - apparently they're hard coded or something to the set. I use it at work and so taking it with the laptop from meeting to meeting and putting it back in the bag proved to be too much of a strain (over 3 years though). So now my keyboard and mouse (which I am used to and loved - now on the logitech MX vertical) is just sitting around - hope I'm totally wrong and there's an easy way now to get a new dongle type thing and get it working again.

    • mate probably best to ditch yours as I did mine when the dongle failed

    • Ostensibly, the dongles can't be replaced because they're paired with the mouse\keyboard with a hardcoded encryption key at the factory.

    • Same problem here

I love my Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic keyboard! I have 2 sets - 1 in the office and 1 at home.

thanks op - ordered one, backup for the ones I already have at work and home office. They have been very reliable as well as comfortable - two to three years with no problems for either, and about one battery change a year so far.

  • Shame it isn't Bluetooth

  • Yep, good price. I use one at work. I can certainly vouch for it. Provided your desk is at the right height it really does reduce wrist strain. Took surprisingly short time to get used to it.

This is the latest bluetooth version.

    • Looks good, except I like having the numeric keypad separate (not to mention the mouse!)

  • I'm waiting for the Logitech ergo k860 to be released here

  • Got mine 4 years ago for $90 - still loving it!

  • Got this at $114 two years ago and it's friggin amazing.. lol num pad is so bloody useful if you do a lot of spreadsheet work.

  • Back to $150 unfortunately

  • Deal is expired now. Shows up as $151.
