Note: The discount is $10 total per order, so the prices in the title are for 1 pack using the code.

Edit 1/4: Seems to be working again.

Greetings everyone, this is a bit of a round about way to get cheap eneloop's but it works fine :)

IKEA has currently got Free C&C and the $10 Voucher with a new membership sign-up is available once again (wasn't working for quite a while).

The code seems to be generic, so you can checkout as guest and apply the coupon code to get $10 off anything, but Ladda's seem to be great value!

Ladda AAA

Reports mention that these are rebadged Eneloop Pro's, "2450mAh 500 cycles for AA, 900mAh for AAA. No indication of remaining charge after X years"

Are these rebadged Eneloop or Eneloop pros? Can never remember.

Edit, nevermind, it's in the description, thanks OP.

  • Life time: approx. 5 years.

What’s the life time of eneloop and eneloop pro?

    • iirc Pros are rated for 500 charges and Eneloops are rated for like 2,000 charges, but the 500 charges with the Pro are better somehow, like capable of powering camera flashes or something

      • +2

Higher capacity and can deliver a higher current during use.

Also says 'Pro' on the side for street cred.

        • Yep, go Pro or go home.

  • +2

please swap the capacities around in the title (to 900mAh/2450mAh) to reflect the relative size and prices

    • +1

      Too easy, thanks!

      • fantastic deal btw, i bought the triple A's last time they were on sale for $8

…nah yeh. lets just see what happens…? i dont need to go to hospital its only a AAA for (profanity)s sake…

  • Which charger should you pair with these batteries?

    • +1

I have a nitecore d4 with mine. Has a low power mode for the AAAs. Works well for me. I don't use batteries a lot, so probably not great if you go through batteries everyday.

  • Buy it first, think later
Still have lots of eneloop tho :)

  • what's a good charger for this?

    • +1

[as above] I have a nitecore d4 with mine. Has a low power mode for the AAAs. Works well for me. I don't use batteries a lot, so probably not great if you go through batteries everyday

      • they seems to go for about $30, is it worth it over the IKEA one for less than a dollar?

        • Probably not worth it for small scale battery recharging operations.

    • IKEA used to sell a $20 4-battery charger that was quite good. Can't find it on the site now - hopefully it comes back soon. Here's a good review:

      https://lygte-info.dk/review/Review%20Charger%20Ikea%20Ladda…

They also used to sell a big one with storage - which is terrible - avoid.

    No PayPal :(

  • I signed up last week to Ikea family as I had to buy a desk.
No email, no discount at the time. At least I got the $50 voucher for April :)

  • +19

Nice deal but who on earth would be going out to Ikea to buy batteries right now?

    • +5

      ….(profanity)-wits?

      • +2

        this (profanity)-wit ;)

    • +1

Free delivery with code is another way to look at it.

      • I took delivery option per order

  • Stores appeared to have disappeared off the C&C

    • Yes agree

    • +4

There is a maximum limit of C&C orders per day, now people have filled it with battery orders so it's taken up all the spots for those stores (and prevented everyone who wanted to use it for their large orders from using it)

  • +2

Thankfully already have a good supply from OzBargain deals a year ago. Don't need to risk it for NiMH batteries at this point in time

  • Does the AA ones work in Xbox one wireless controller?

  • +1

So how is this a "valid" deal? The price is the same, you are just taking $10 off due to the voucher? What if you're already a member?

Or you are exploiting a generic code loophole?

Perhaps the title needs to be updated for clarification?

    • +1

I just checkout without supplying IKEA card number
      so basically checkout as guest

      Please read post properly.

Just came across as weird to me initially, but now I get it…eventually. 😳

Just like when people post specific things to buy from ebay with the same coupon codes I suppose.

Go back to teaching Mr Kimble.

    • Tomorrow there be line up at your local IKEA to collect your batteries 😜 with bit of Corona.

Don't think this is much of a deal other than some going to be abuse the system by getting it with multiple accounts.

  • "Begin Checkout" greyed out for anyone else?

  • Still working, for me, need to do a little trick to be able to C&C from a store and not a collection point.

Thanks OP got a pack of AA, AAA, a charger and a cable management kit for less than $12

  • well, that didn't last long, i barely had time to log in before it was unavailable for C&C VIC

    • +1

there's a trick, calculate your postage first, and then choose C&C

    • takes a bit of patience, but it will work.

  • Damn, got excited thinking it was free postage. No Ikeas anywhere near me :(

  • It's showing up as $9.63 for the AA and $8.35 for the AAA for me

    • Order them separately

  • Thanks OP, managed to get one.

  • +5

use more in fuel to get it than what it costs… code only works for 1 pack and is useless.

    • +1

      Also (potentially) free C&C Corona.

  • +6

the centrelink website is probably more responsive than IKEA at the moment.

  • Question, can these AAA batteries be used in a solar-powered patio light? My concern is about the batteries charging requirements (which will be managed by the small solar panel). Thanks

    • +1

You want us to guess the charging specs of the circuitry in your solar light?

    • usually solar lights are lithium batteries which are about 3.6v, the single cell ni-mh are only 1.2v so won’t light an led after voltage drop of extra circuitry …..if you want to use ni-mh in solar light need multiple batteries

      • How many 1.2v NiMH batteries do you think one might need to use instead of a 3.6v lithium battery?

  • Any idea why the "BEGIN CHECKOUT" button is always greyed out for my store? Does this mean out of stock?

  • Good price but just not worth the wait for the website. Due to unprecedented demand we are currently unable to offer delivery or click and collect from this store or postcode, please check again in 12 hours. OMG what am i going to do for 12 hours in lock down .

      Stay inside house indefinitely?

  • The website is ozbargained.

    • We need some meatballs for our sore throats.
      They're hoarse.

  • Selected Ikea Richmond for collection, code applied everything but "Begin Checkout" is still greyed out. Any pointers? Thanks.

Showing $9.63 for AA, $8.35 for AAA?

    • You get $10 off in total

      • +1

        Thanks for pointing out

  • Showing as $11.50 for AA and $9.97 for AAA

    • You get $10 off in total

I wonder if Ikea will do a mass refund after they realize thousands of OzBargainers bought the batteries for these cheap as chips prices.

    • Only if everyone ordered qty of 1

  • anyone know of any good priced chargers?

  • +1

    Free Click&Corona are not deals.

  • Anyone managed to get through the website in the last hour?

  • The Perth store always comes up with an error. Seems to work for other stores, but that's not helpful to me

    • "Due to unprecedented demand we are currently unable to offer delivery or click and collect from this store or postcode, please check again in 12 hours."

      • "We are currently experiencing technical issues and are unable to complete your order. Please try again later."

        • Working now! Got Some. Thank you OP!!

    IKEA Rhodes :(

  • I don't really get it. I've added 2xAA and 1xAAA and with C&C and the coupon code it's showing up as $32.97. This is for Adelaide if that makes any difference.

    • +3

It's $10 off total order, not per item.

      • Ah okay. I was thinking that might be the case. Cheers

  • +4

    OzBargain: the organic DDoS service.

  • Aren't these usually $8/$9 for the AA's?

    • The high capacity one was tested as identical to Eneloop Pro and used to be $9.99
until they raised the price to RRP $14.99 last year

  • They've stopped click and collect for Springvale due to high demand

    • Try again. I worked for me just now after not working 30 minutes ago.

  • Thanks op got one
