First time posting. Found this really useful in Work from Home arrangements.

How much is the Bluebeam Trial normally ?

    • Trial is free normally but only for 30 days I believe. And not all functionality. Now it's full function plus you can extend by another 60 days. It's all part of providing software for those now home based.

  • Seen this in action. Would recommend.

Mostly used in Civil Engineering, No?

      • That's where I tried it. For basic cad and pdf. It does lots but tbh I didn't use those features and it was a bit narky overall.

90 days is really useful right now though.

    What is it?

    • The short answer is: a PDF editor.

    • Short answer is collaboration tool. But also has other functions.

I was a bit sceptical at first, but think of it as PDF reader/editor crossed with a good drawing/drafting package. Much better markup tools, and infinitely better measuring tools than Acrobat. To the point you can go pretty close to making something that looks like it was drafted in CAD. And it'll quite happily just open your PDFs, merge/split, compress etc if that's all you're doing.

  • love bluebeam

  • I haven't touched acrobat since we started using this at work. Soooo much more functionality.
