Free Mem Today Qantas Freq Flyer - Norm $82.50

92

Qantas Frequent Flyer Membership free today to those without pre-existing membership. It also said available to red e-deal members. I don't know much more about it. I joined on suggestion from my daughter and it came up with a Bronze membership.

It's Qantas in all the URLs and yet you managed to add a u to the name in your title and text. :)

    • Caught out on my atrocious spelling…or is it Qantas who have the atrocious spelling according to English grammar? Thanks! :)

Ah so that's what it is. An acronym. I've learned my one new thing for the day. Thanks!

As chrysilis mentions, Qantas started off as an acronym. Grammar specifies how the parts of a sentence fit together, and doesn't specify how words are spelt. A nonsense sentence like:

        Blue quarks dream furiously

        is perfectly grammatical.

        • :) My mistake, general spelling rule (with some exceptions) rather than grammar. Thanks for the correction. Now I know who to pay for help with grammar. :)

        • Well at least you know to wait for a U if you get a Q in Scrabble. :)

I don't get why this is a bargain. membership for every other airline is FREE… not to mention what powerhammer has said.

  • always been free

  • +3

It is always free if you use oversea address and change it back to aus later.

    not a bargain

  • +2

I deliberated whether to put this up thinking is this really a bargain? More an alert I guess….As long as it was helpful to one or more people.
Love the way people express themselves on here lol

  • Thanks Op !
Yes it is free to join via WoW, but wasn't free to join up directly with Qantas.

To join directly (https://www.qantas.com.au/fflyer/dyns/joinff) there still is a $82.50 fee.
[I think I recall some kind of a minimum age too, although I can't find it now in their Ts&Cs].

But with your link I was able to sign up my 1 year old baby no probs, and for free!

    Thanks again :-)

Maybe the mods should move this to the forums with links to the dozen other posts about how to get this for free?

    • Thanks for putting up this link to the August deal. It has all the arguments and responses to critiques & frustrations. Even links to links. :)
