A thread to post all Amazon one-off deals on music, including CDs, vinyl, cassettes, etc. It can be a bit hard to tell when something is going to jump up in price after you buy it, but this would be a good place to post all of those deals.

I had a list of records that were gonna be cheapest from JB with the 20% off, and I'm happy to pull the trigger on all of them as they've been sitting there for months. My conscience is clear!

I always hate this time of year cos all the records I bought from my local indie retailer are at like 1/3 of the price. Gotta support the little guys though.
Data point: Order with just 1 vinyl in it delivered today in MEL inside vinyl mailer via Amazon driver. Let's just ignore the fact it was lying flat and may have been frisbeed onto the porch instead of standing up (no evidence either way).

Yes, it's only on CD. Bear Family are well known for their lavish box sets. I should of mentioned it is Volume 3 of the Man In Black series of Cash releases, covering the years 1963-69.

Last 2 records I've bought through Amazon AU have been sent in proper vinyl shippers. Same with anyone else or did I just get lucky?
Historically, if your order only contains 1 vinyl (nothing else), you'll maybe get a vinyl mailer. Anything else, it's thrown in a box unprotected.
Receiving a delivery of 2 vinyl (George Michael "Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1" dropped to $17.80 and quickly sold out) + a few other items tomorrow so will report outcome. I'll be amazed if they've changed, since they've ignored feedback for years & years.

Reckon I've bought 2 other single records before and it's always been the ol oversized box with a random piece of cardboard paper. The rest have been more than one record, yet the same dodgy packaging.
International US and UK from Amazon have always been well packed for me though.
As promised, no change - loose in rectangular cardboard box with everything else I ordered.
@mackaxx: When I had prime I sometimes did that, though still not guaranteed it'd come in a vinyl mailer. Knew this would sell out quickly, so had to grab 2. Maybe not worth buying vinyl from Amazon unless absolutely necessary (which is what I do). :)

I bought two items but my order was immediately canceled with this message: "Order Order #-WMA was canceled because of unforeseen circumstances and your payment has not yet been refunded."
I called customer support and they told me it was because I was using a VPN while ordering!
So if you're going to order from this sale - and you use a VPN - disable it before purchasing otherwise your order could be immediately cancelled. I have re-ordered with the VPN off and that worked. TIL.

That sucks, i did just call them and got MerchFan… they did say that they are the fulfillment company for Warner Music though.
She did say that my items are still yet to be received in by them, most likely from overseas, and still about a week away to be delivered to them. She was going to look into it and try and get me a more concrete date.

I’ve ordered from them once before and my shipment was delayed until they had received all items in the order. They eventually sent them seperate after a few follow ups on the delay
