Important updates

  • Customer Service via OzBargain Inbox: In the current environment, I need to ask everyone to please direct all enquiries - status updates, technical support, etc - to either [email protected] or [email protected], not my OzB account, to help us keep every query in the same location. I can't guarantee a reply on OzB at the moment so please don't send anything urgent there.

  • Customer service times are extended at the moment under heavy load, so please understand if it takes more than 24 hours for a reply - you will get a reply as soon as it is possible. We're adding extra staff and resources to deal with the increased volume of enquiries.

  • Dispatch times: Our current shipping estimate is 14 business days for new orders. We're shipping the entire backlog of Intel i7 orders this week after COVID delays, Ryzen 9 systems next week and B450 Mortar orders (also COVID delays, some overdue orders here) will be next week, either with Mortar or equivalent replacement - an email update is coming to customers on that today so please check your inbox later. And all others due around now are very close to shipping - perhaps a couple of days over estimate but catching up quickly.

Thanks, and have a happy Easter (at home).

Luke

I been waiting for 4 days for just one reply for my email to know whats happening to my purchased on 18march but until now I still doesnt get any single reply.

    • Did you somehow upgrade to MSI Motar?

      • +1

        No, I never upgrade anything

  • +12

Why you still posting deals when you can't even ship out ones paid for over a month ago.

    • +7

They're being busy scamming more customer instaed of solving problems and reply emails. They wont reply our e-mail even if wanted a 85% REFUND (BECAUSE WE BEEN WAIRING FOR 21 WORKING DAYS).

    • +1

I wonder why Luke doesn’t want customers contacting him on Ozbargain, especially in post?

      • Because people may flood his messages. And ozbargain's messages don't actually have any push notifications.

        • We've just added a bunch of new customer service staff so I'm trying to keep all contact centralised, especially during the training period.

  • +1

Hi Luke, been waiting 10 days now for a response from your support because my hardware issue with my new PC. I know you guys be busy but that's a hell of a long time. Related to order M63717710846027

    • I've escalated for you.

  • +3

Wow shipping is slow with all this covid stuff. It was picked up by Australia post on March 31. Estimated arrival was 7 April. Anyway I just checked, it's now stuck in a Sydney processing facility. By the time I get it, probably be 6 weeks from when I ordered to arrival.

  • +6

Perhaps this company should start filling their back orders before asking for new business… Don't they care about loyalty?

  • My order shipped 31 March was delivered today (Syd), Auspost/startrack only scanned it into syd area yesterday so they are running really behind.

    • Hope it's not like that for Mel :(

    • Yeah these shipping delays are troubling. My latest update on my parts motherboard box send out on the 2nd of April has now been delayed to the 15th of April.

  • +4

reading the ozbargain comments scares me. im glad i bought my own pc parts. heard they also skimp out on every part except the cpu and gpu according to some youtube comments…

    • +4

From the PC I've ordered. If I was to get the cheapest parts and build it the same on U-mart/scoprtech etc it would have cost me more than going through Techfast. Even if they have the cheapest parts across the board it's still a good deal.

  • Hey Luke, Any chance of being able to replicate this previous deal? Ryzen 5 3500X | RX 5700 Gaming PC(techfast.com.au) $999 with code: 3500X-5700-MAR

    • -2

@dievasz , please roll through the forum and comments. Techfast is more like a scam. they been ignoring customer email and complaints, sending out bad quality items. The things you get for what you paid for $999 might only be worth $799. AND AND YOU WILL BE WAITING FOR ATLEAST 30DAYS FOR THOSE CRAPPY ITEMS.
      Think carefully.

Made an order on 19 March for the GTX1070 FE. I got an email last week (after complete silence) that the shipment of cards was 'damaged'.

    Their offer was:
    1. A straight replacement for a GTX 1660 6GB or RX 580 8GB. Two cards which are substantially worse than the GTX1070FE.
    2. I have to pay $350 for an 'upgrade' to a RX 5700. Which is only marginally better than the 1070.
    3. Refund.

After waiting a month to find out I was going to pay the same price for a worse system, not happy.

    • To be fair, the stock arrived damaged. What do you want them to do, make a loss on something that is totally out of their control?

      • +1

Don't you feel funny? Most of their stock arrived damaged. Not just once. We are mad not cause of their damaged product. It's because their ridiculous slow response of customer service. We could have a refund on the 14 business day. But they ignore all E-mails. keep us waiting and waiting just to let us know the product had been damaged.
        Techignore.

        • If you've requested a refund via [email protected], it should already have been processed as I've been doing them all. Please PM me so I can help you through your specific issue. Thanks.

Not sure how everyone experience of this techfast company. But just letting all new customers to know. This might happen. Roll through comments. Don't get into this. Worst thing is quarantine at home with out a pc.

  • Any chance of this 3900X build https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/511133 with a 3700X and a 1TB SSD below $2k?

  • Hey luke,

I was hoping to upgrade the ram in the computer I purchased december last year.
Do you sell the 8GB GSkill Value ram 2666mhz?

  • Any chance on another 3900x deal?

  • +1

Like so many on here also ordered a special on TechSlow a AMD Ryzen 5 3500X | RTX 2080 SUPER 8GB Gaming Desktop PC1
    AMD Ryzen 5 3500X | RTX 2080 SUPER 8GB, 15 businessdays later no update :*(

    • +2

I got an email today notifying me that my order that was placed on 24 March has been posted.

Will update when I receive it

      • +1

        stuck on
Shipping information received by Australia Post
So that means they haven't even picked up the shipment?

  • +3

I would love to buy something from Luke as he has priced so well… but all the comments about no updates or receiving PC's is definitely making it not as appealing. Has anyone actually received anything, since all these sales have started?

    • +3

I ordered a system for my son on the 22nd of March. Still unfulfilled.

    • +2

my order is from 12th of March. Not here yet

  • +1

Hey Luke, any updates on R9 ?

  • +2

Ordered a PC with the mag forge cases, but due to supply delays they countered with a commander g series case. There were 3 models of the case, I told them I would like either 2 of the 3 model as the other model looked horrible aesthetically for me, customer support said theyll put it through, but I received the one model that I didnt want. First I make the order in good faith that techfast had the components on stock, then they take 3 business weeks to contact me that they didn't have stock of the case when I should have probably received it. Then now this. If this model case was what I was receiving I would have requested a full refund on it or taken it up with the ACCC for the refund. I understand these are tough times, but I want what I paid for and I didn't get that. Now that they've built it/shipped it out, theres no way I'm getting this refund anymore :) Thanks techslow, never ordering from you guys again.

    • +3

I've been looking to buy a new PC but all these comments make it clear that no price is worth dealing with this company. Why does it get so many upvotes?

      • +1

Starting in 2018 they were ridiculous value (maybe even loss leading to build rep), also their stated build time was 3 days but you would get it 2 weeks later. I think the people who bought then are still upvoting.

I used to upvote, until I bought a system and realized the quality of the parts were crap (except CPU but you could argue 3500X is not that great). It's cheap not primarily due to value, its cheap because it has really really really cheap parts. For the average person they might not be able to tell. The unit also came damaged case and gfx card DOA, so luckily I got a full refund but wouldn't buy again.

Their business model relies on cheap PC parts with 1 year warranty - PC will have a higher chance of a part failing post 1 year due to cheap parts.
So you opt to upgrades to better parts, when you upgrade you don't get "refunded" for the part you are swapping out so you lose value to the point where you might as well build your own PC.

These days, stated times are 2 weeks, but you will get the system in 1 month, or more. So really it's 11 months warranty from purchase date.

        • Sorry to revive a week old thread, but do you have any recommendations as to where I should look at for building a PC? I know one option is doing it myself, but I get worried I might do something wrong and damage it.

          • @eltito: Youtube videos on how to build pc's, not hard but can take a while if your new to it.

  • +1

Was sent an email on 9 April saying the system should be sent out mid to late last week, no updates yet on whether it has been shipped out, or whether to expect any further delays.

If additional staff had been added, I am questioning how much slower they were responding to everything previously. Kind of regretting buying my PC now and probably shoud have built my own.

The rep has even stopped responding on OzBargain now. I guess this will be a good example to post in future threads.

  • +7

    I ordered the Ryzen 5 3500X | RTX 2080 SUPER deal on 18 March.
Apparently the AusPost label was created for it on 14 April, yet hasn't been dispatched by TechFast.
Also apparently the B450 motherboards weren't in stock hence the delay… Why would TechFast not advertise the fact that certain components weren't in stock at the time I made the purchase? Pretty misleading and a breach of ACCC guidelines.
At this stage I'm awaiting a response as to why my order still hasn't been dispatched a month after ordering.

All I can say for future buyers, is to be aware that TechFast does not specify whether they even have stock of the item you are purchasing and therefore cannot possibly abide by their "15 business day" timeframe, which is completely arbitrary.

    • +2

It says the rep has been online an hour and a half ago and no doubt has seen all these messages and still radio silence.

    • +3

Geez. I ordered the AMD Ryzen 5 1600 AF | RX 580 8GB with the AMD B450 mobo on the 22 March so I guess I'm way behind you…..

    • +3

exact same deal, I placed the order on the 12th of March, waited with no updates until 3rd of April where they placed an Auspost label and there's no further update since. No way to know if the item has been shipped or is in what stage.

Still in the waiting for a reply game, takes 1-2 days for each reply that doesn't lead anywhere

    • +2

So it finally arrived today. Only the PC was in the box, no cables. Luckily I had a spare PSU cable. Booted it up and checked out the specs. They've put in the wrong CPU.
I had paid an extra $129 to upgrade from the Ryzen 5 3500x to the 3600, yet they've given me the 3500x.
Also I'm pretty sure the RAM I got is 2666mhz even though again, I had paid extra to upgrade to the 3200mhz.
Really disappointed by tech fast, considering the time it took to get the PC and then the parts for it are wrong after I had paid to upgrade.
Really poor service. Would only recommend if you're on a budget and don't care about the parts you get in the case.

  • Can anyone give me an idea of how well the 2060 Super holds up vs. my 1080 and whether it would be a good time to upgrade or better to wait til next gen?

    • Wait next gen, the 1080 is still a better GPU then the 2060 mate… If you want to upgrade get a 2080. 2070 is pretty much a size-grade as well

      • I can't remember how long I've had the 1080 for but it feels like a fair while. Crazy that there aren't significant upgrades out there already but I guess I can keep the wallet closed for a while longer.

        Cheers for the advice.

  • Purchased system on 20 March, finally got shipping information yesterday, was delivered overnight to Melbourne and received it this morning. Was shocked that it was able to be delivered overnight. No faults with the system itself. The Leaper Flair RGB isn't really a case so much as really thin metal that's shaped into a PC case. Would definitely recommend upgrading the case or rehousing it yourself to your old case. I got the https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/525058 and it is LOUD.

    • lol figured that case wouldnt b good for loud supression lol :P How many fans is it running?

      • The case has 2 fans, bottom front, and middle back.

    • +1

Ordered on the 16th of March. Received tracking number on 17th of April, no updates from AusPpst since Friday. Also located in Melbourne. Hoping to have it delivered by the end of the week.

Even an AusPost status update would relieve some anxiety.

      • +1

Same received tracking on 17 Apr but no updates since. :(

  • In this deal or any other TechFast current deals, Anyone got any idea regarding the re-stock of "MSI Mortar B450 M-ATX Motherboard"? I think it is an essential mobo upgrade but it keeps saying "out of stock"

  • Hey,
I'm a complete noob about PC's. I've heard mixed reviews of Techfast PC's and watched a few videos. Seems like you get what you pay for and I'm not in a hurry to receive my PC. I just want a PC to play games such as COD, League and maybe stream a bit. Would you guys recommend any current deals or should I wait for new deals? Would appreciate anyone's opinion.

    Thanks!

    • Hi, yeah if you want a cheap PC and don't care about what's in the case and don't mind waiting 5+ weeks, they're fine.
Be weary about paying for any upgrades as it seems that you won't get them if you pay for them, so only stick with the standard that they offer, otherwise you're paying extra for nothing.

    • +1

I ordered a PC around 10/3/20 and have yet to receive it still (25/4/20). That is a almost 7 week wait time and no sign of it coming anytime soon. Poor communication from their end, as well as some questionable parts (such as the PSU). If you don't mind about any of that, go ahead, because it is the cheapest way to build a PC. I'd recommend upgrading the PSU though, other than that up to you, but you do lose value if you upgrade other components as well.

    • Thanks for your feedback guys! I really appreciate it, would you recommend any current PC that are on sale that fit my purpose?

      • you can opt for the ryzen 5 3600 build, it's a very good value for money imo.

  • +2

TechSLOW is going to make me wait 20 BUSINESS DAYS for me to pick up my COMPONENTS locally, they don't even have to build anything.

  • +4

I ordered a 3700x/2080super System and was sent out someone elses PC with a 3600 in it? They also haven't replied to my email. @luketechfast can I get a reply please?

  • Hi Luke,

My current GPU just died and I've been looking at a PC upgrade anyways. Is there any chance of a 5700 XT deal in the future? Cheers!

  • +1

@luketechfast, I can't PM you as I'm a new member to Ozbargain, but I have no received responses from the Support team despite my efforts every day this week. I'm at business day 13 at the moment. Could you please reach out.

  • trying to order this one however it doesnt work, i think deal is done

    • Yeah if you scroll down it says out of stock for the GPU. I ordered one but I'm on my 12th business day and I think ill probably have to wait another week despite asking for the parts only.

  • Hi Luke,

I've tried to get in contact with support but have been unsuccessful, I was just wondering if I could get my order sent in parts as I'd love to put it together myself!

May be too late which I understand as I ordered on Saturday last week but thought I'd try anyway.

PM me and I will send you my order number :)

    • +1

      Support has replied :)

  • Would love an update on my order :)

    • Support has not replied :(

  • +1

Potential ETA on next deal Luke? Probably won't be for a few weeks as you guys appear to be receiving parts with excessive delays.

$2,300-$2,500 for a 2080 super, Ryzen 7 3700X 16 gb ram 3200mhz, gold 750 PSU, good MOBO, good case etc etc?

  • HI all, i was hoping to get some advice on getting a desktop computer, im after a intel processor 9700k , do you do any deals with them and what would be the ryzen cpu closest to the 9700k in gaming and apps. Second Question is, should i really bother with intel and just go for a AMD ryzen , which one would i need to game on 4k as i have a 4k monitor, currently i have a 6700k oc to 4.9hz and a gtx 980ti , what would processor and gpu would be considered a huge upgrade for me , or should i just wait a bit longer for better tech and keep what i have , Thanks all

    • Go for AMD CPU, they are the new king of the hill in terms of price and performance.

As for which specific CPU, choose the AMD 3600 or 3700 which ever suits your budget better.

The 3500 included in Techfast’s base configuration is “okay” but it’s a China only part + all your support and warranty would have to come from Techfast, which is fine, so long as they remain in business and provide support; which from the other comments here their support seems very poor.

      As for GPU:

      • AMD 5700XT is the best value wise.

      OR

      • Nvidia 2070 Super

      If you are super rich:

      • Nvidia 2080 or 2080TI

Any of those will be fine for 4K.

For reference I’m using a 5/6 year old laptop CPU with the old Nvidia 1070 and still can play most games at 4K on max settings. All those parts above are better than what I have so should be fine.

For games too demanding you could always turn the settings down or lower the resolution.

I use a Intel Core i7-6820HK for reference.

Note: You could go with the Nvidia 2060 super but the performance is not that much more than my 5/6 year old Nvidia 1070. Wouldn’t be much “future proofing”.

SSD is a must and so is a minimum of 16GB ram, more is better.

If you are able to I would just build my own PC instead of buying from Techfast, that way you know the parts you choose are quality.

  • Very disappointed with Techfast, after waiting over month for my computer to arrive once it did there were issues straight away with the computer completely restarting with no errors or anything just straight restarting randomly. It has restarted randomly well over 10 times in about 4 days. I cannot get any work done or play any games as the computer is so unstable.

On Thursday morning last week I emailed them on their support and sales email address as the phone number they recommend calling in the info they gave me with the computer was shut down.

and complete radio silence from them no email or phone call from them, no acknowledgment of my issue, no checklist of things to test, nothing.

When you spend about $1200 for new computer that straight away has big issues I'd expect a lot more customer service that what they have provided.

Very unhappy and not sure if I should be contacting the ACCC.

  • +1

My emails are getting ignored now…

I was sent an email saying stock of the GPU I ordered did not arrive and given the option to keep waiting or to upgrade. So I chose the upgrade path where I had to pay more money to avoid delay to the order. The emails where I had to pay more money were promptly actioned, however now that I have upgraded they stopped responding to my emails and my order is still delayed… It feels like a scam. I may as well have kept waiting for my original order with the original GPU.

  • I sympathise with those having trouble.

My experience was good - couple of minor issues over the process, each was resolved quickly and satisfactorily.

Looking at my experience in isolation, I'd happily order from them again - though it appears I'm the exception.
